I can't recommend this series highly enough. The cast is incredible, and all the characters have distinct personalities. The queen and the dowager queen's tactical maneuvering is intriguing. Even the lessor roles will draw you into their sub-plots. Watch it, you won't be sorry.
Yes, I second that! It just had a tiiiiny bit let down.. Spoiler alert! The fact that the concubine's son was said to be the king's FIRST son, though he actually a son from the ex-queen's prince, the ex-queen's grand prince (now a doctor) was pictured as the -th grand prince, so for him to be swapped, learned all about medicine, then became a doctor, then became one of palace doctor and high ranked enough to be a concubine's doctor (and then commit the adultery) must take YEARS, 10 years at least.. Yet in that years, if his son was to be the FIRST son of he current king, it means the king didn't produced a child before? For years?? When actually his Queen definitely capable as she bear him 5 sons and his concubines at least had 1 son each? I though the story would be that the concubine had an affair when the ex-grand prince turn into a doctor had yet to be banished from the palace (after his mother was deposed), and the current king was just fresh became a crown prince.. it was more believable that way in calculation..
Im really not sure if this is correct but I have watched many historical kdramas ,they call queen's sons who are not the crown prince as grand princes t,their can be only one crown prince grand princes dont have the right to throne, unless ofcourse crown prince is dead like here. There's a drama called grand prince which focus on 2 grand princes .
