Dude there are a million and one ways to tell you how to do it ......you know what ...theres only one way to do it ...........and thats your way the way that suits you ......👍👍

James, the only person who arranges his dates via youtube. Also the only person who gets hammered lying down instead of being upright. Give Carol our regards.
Every time I see your "KEEP CALM" shirt, it reminds me of the expression, "Keep Clam and Carry On" at local Seafood and Chowder Houses called "Iver's" (est: 1938). I just realized, I've not had fish & chips in ages. ;-)
I just wish we had some Real English style fish and chips where I live. Long Johns Silver's I think is pieces parts smashed together to look like a filet, and Captain D's is close but that only counts in horse shoes.
Cheers James - I knew a light gig bag would take less room on the boat (all of my hardshell cases take up massive amounts of storage). Please let me know if it fits your Takamine well, that’s a Dreadnaught sized bag. Billy-Slide
Now then Young James. Just wanted to say that its "Trunking" not "Conduit". I hate being pedantic as you know but its been winding me up for weeks. Its a bit like "Is it a Winding Hole" OR "Is it a Winding Hole" ?? ;-)
Hi James, the Nautical term for the bow bedroom I guess is ‘cabin’~ the ‘’bos’un’s” cabin etc ~ Somehow it doesn’t fit tho… Just call it the ‘bedroom’ or the ‘bunkhouse’ ~ We all know what you mean ~ it’s sure gonna be the kinder ‘back-yard’ lol, and 🌳’lookout’🧢 when they’re there, Happy Days 🍩🥁📙 The boat is going thru another transformation; and you’re on the Hard making everything a tad easier ~ about time too I reckon~ Cheers 🧲🍺🍺🍺🧲🐨
Do Brits think in terms of miles or the length of time driven when they're calculating their road trips? Geography isn't my strong suit (that's the kind of understatement a Brit might appreciate--I get lost in my own living room) but it sounds as if you spend many hours weekly driving up and down to London. Or is it just up the road from the wharf?
You’re right about the back and forth to London. I think his plan is to tie the boat up closer to London …. at this rate… we’re going to have to launch a second crowd funding drive to get him a newer car. 😉
@@sa9861 North Kilworth (where Sloe-Patrol lives at the moment) to London is over 90 miles …. Or almost two hours of driving …. whereas Milton Keynes is some 55 miles from London or a 1hour and 15 minute drive. I believe “The Jamer” has indicated that he indeed intends to moor up in the Milton Keynes area once the boat is canal worthy. 👍 Cheers 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
James, you need to make a sign out of a piece of ply and a small length of the wire you are using. On it it should say “Built not Bought”. Hang it were you can see every day to remind you of all the blood, sweat and tears that are going into this boat. Crack on. Stay safe.
A busy, hard working and sound guy. 👍

Just catching up with your vlogs James. Sloe patrol looking so much better now, the hole may all have been a blessing in disguise!
Thanks Annette - glad you like how she’s looking

Haha! billy Slide is a guitar saver alright 👍🏼

He did , thanks for your message Carol x
Well it worked !! I saw Carol today
Yay !! 👍🏼

Hi James you've got some momentum going now. Starting to come together nicely. Looking like a narrowboat.
Cheers pal - I feel like momentum is strong at the moment - thanks
You must realize that every item (hammer, tape measure, etc...) that gets in your way is due to Murphy (moved when you're not looking). ;-D
Yeah, hides my cigarettes :)-
Murphy doing that, could be considered a good thing (a rarity)? ;-)
Hi, I don't mind the barking - better than a narrowboat engine :) - or a jigsaw in action. Keep going; ignore it. Great series of videos, thank you.
James you need a sh*t shifter. !!! and a bleeper. *** lol.
I know
Hi, we’ve been watching your channel for a while now, and wondered who is Carol?
She was just a supporter of the channel ages ago, now she’s a good friend and still a supporter of the channel 👍🏼
@@TheNarrowboatThatJamesBuilt how lovely :) It’s great to see the boat developing day by day. Fingers crossed we finally pick ours up next week 🤞🏻
Roll some more of your favourite hurb up and chill out 😆
Can you screw the lid into the gunnels, put the cables in the tray and then clip the tray up into the lid?
good vid vid on the boat
Hey Carol! Hope all is well!
Hi Steve , all is ok at the moment, back at hosp. Monday , more tests etc. Thanks for your message Carol x
@@carolbennett8508 glad to hear.
Honestly I only heard the dogs for the first time in this video and I hardly heard them at that 1🤷♀️
James, do you use a multitool instead of a knife to cut your food up?
Naah, not when fingers will do lol
My food is mostly liquid, but I reckon a multi tool would be great on a lamb chop 🤣
"Carol's Cupboard"...... Is that the RUclips-friendly version of the "Liquor Locker"? LOL
Certainly this Boatie’s version lol
The question we all wondering “are James and Carol getting it on” 😂
None of our business
Maybe not but he's only asking what everyone else is thinking 🤣 and the other question we all want to know is when are we all going to meet Carol ? 😀

Mate - thank you so so much. What a great gift and such a funny note. She fits a treat and she tells me she loves it. Thanks again - nice pics too
James, I love you vlog! I have a small recording studio and would like to do a 10/15 sec intro for you. Would you be keen?

Thanks so much - I know - I don’t know why I don’t call it the cabin. Maybe I need a sign to remind me
I prefer marijoram too. ;o)
Have to keep the ex happy.
Drive safe.
You will need a P trap the type that goes under the bath its about as shallow as your going to get m8

Yes, we use miles in the UK. the rest of Europe use kilometres.
@@presspound7358 Sue, check the distance out on Google maps; Sloe Patrol is north of London near Milton Keynes……

Our roads are so congested we do use hours when calculating road trips
An easier option at day 1
would have been a painted sailaway for the monies spent thus far.
Yes, my days of thinking that I’d personally prefer the sailaway option to the “buy ancient and refurb” option are certainly coming to a middle.
Naah, this is much more interesting - damn hard work for James and the team of merrie men ‘n maid marion Carol but there ya go~
@@sa9861 I agree with you S A.
David is financially correct but it’s not always about that - and on the canals it’s definitely not about that.

When I stayed there it was so quite. Shame.
