That looked like a very interesting port. I have never been but what you captured has certainly sparked an interest in the whole area. You presented it very well and the sunset and sailaway looked fab. Well done.
This was day 4 on the Infinity but did i hear at 08.21 in this video this was day 5 ...??? Or did i understand this wrong, ... it was day 4 wasn't it? Great video and beautifull vieuws by the way 🤗
Yeah you are right... must have been tired. Counting gets hard after three. Definitely not trying to rush my cruise along anyway! Appreciate the support as always.
I really like Kusadasi. I stopped there on my RC cruise back in 2001 yikes! 😅. I remember the market and all the rug and carpet stalls. Lots of pressure selling. There is a beach about 10 mins away and you can see the ship from it. Wow this brings back great memories. Thank you 😊
Wow, 2001 eh. I bet it looks quite similar! Wouldn't have expected to get the pressure selling here but I remember Egypt being much the same. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and a little trip back in time
@@CaptureCruising yes it does and brought back memories. I remember my then boyfriend persuading me to get a taxi to the nearest beach and we booked the same taxi to take us back to the ship. Well it didn’t turn up and I was panicking. There was no internet or mobile phones back then. We managed to flag one down and got back just in the nick of time. I will never forget it. Won’t make the same mistake again 🫣
Just reading this is giving me "being left on the pier" anxiety! It's always a risk with cruising that you'd have to call a port home... get a job, buy a house. I remember my earlier videos not having data abroad and that was scary. My time in Valencia I strayed so far from the ship and did get lost coming back. Thankfully I now have Google Maps. Must have been worse when you don't speak the language and don't know how to get back. Thankfully you did though... big tip for that driver for saving the day!
Oh! Some comments are a bit harsh😮 I must be easily pleased as I liked the Castles 🏰 outlooks and green space. Also the sunset (minus crane) was gorgeous🌅
I mean they're just expressing their opinions I guess... rarely do I do the majority thing these days! We must both be easily pleased as I enjoyed the mix of things I did here. The plan was to watch the sunset from the top but you couldn't actually see it with all the trees... so I had to make do with the crane. Ergh.
Hey it was still only 18 degrees that's still chilly! It was interesting enough, feel looking back I should have gone to Ephesus but that's hindsight I guess. A good excuse to go back!
You pronounced it correctly as spoken in English though in Turkish it’s Koo-sha-da-si. You know, instead of hanging around Kuşadasi, you should have gone and explored Ephesus. It’s about 30 minutes away by taxi. The ruins are really something and if I remember right, the purported last home of the Virgin Mary is in the vicinity.
Thanks for confirming this. Usually when researching before hand different people seem to have different pronunciations so I never really know 100% if I'm right. Looking back I wish that I had. When researching the port I tend to look to see what there is to do in port. From this research Kusadasi looked like a great place to explore on foot with the castle, beach and panoramic spot. Feel I was lead on a bit but great excuse to go back!
Sorry, I should have said “could have gone.” Saying “should” sounds like I was telling you off which was definitely not my intention! But, yes, you have a very good reason to revisit Kuşadasi.
I’ve just been watching (and lusting after) Captain Kate McCue’s channel, she’s the skipper of Celebrity Beyond. It’s just occurred to me that the ships names “Infinity and Beyond “ was a Saying from a film which I can’t place. Can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me the name of that film? An interesting factoid, the X on the funnel is a homage to the family that started Celebrity Cruises whose name was Chandris, the anglicised spelling of the Greek name is Xandris. Consider yourself educated 😂
Yeah I'm saying Toy Story too. That's interesting actually I never knew that. A lot more creative than Costa's "C" anyway! When I used to cruise with NCL I was told that the cruise line was named after the founder's wife, who was Norwegian. Not sure how accurate that was but the kid who told me alleged to be the son of the founder of the company so who knows!
how is it there are they a lot of street scammers i was last year by cruise in Istanbul and get several times a guy trying to show way or bringing me to a carpet shop of family it nerved me and i spended last hours in port
perhaps a little bit? remember feeling a bit vulnerable around the beach area. your experience sounds awful. I can't say I've experienced anything like that before
It's never a boring time when you're in the Greek sun! I mean I had a nice time, a good mix of things with the castle, beach and hike. Those panoramic views were worth the steep walk up there!

It was interesting I think, not sure many of the ships stop here. Appreciate the feedback as always!

I love to explore a castle & that looks like a good one, the sun shining helps too! It looks so quiet & tranquil
It was quite big actually with lots of interesting things and nature in between. It's always a good day when the sun is shining!
I’ve been there a few times. Nice walk you had. The beach how good or bad was it. Good blog 👍🏼
This was a new port for me. The beach was pretty standard tbh. Mis-sold with the name but got some sun so not too bad 😂

Jeans? in a hot country? where were your shorts mate!! Kusadasi looked an interesting port... Hope you had a great day in Turkey

Haha I didn't really think much of it. But thanks for not telling me off... most other people do!
Hmm at least it was pretty at night 😂 xx
Yeah very pretty at night... great sunset too (mostly!)

“To infinity and beyond.” Toy Story.
Yeah I'm saying Toy Story too.

@@mpb3481 thank you, I will sleep tonight 👍🏻
@@CaptureCruising I got that factoid from Captain Kate. Thanks for the toy story info 👍🏻
Yeah she puts a lot of interesting facts and behind the scenes stuff on IG as well. Always worth a watch if you like cruising.
Kusadasi looks better in the dark !!!! Not my favourite place! Nice sunset though if you look past the digger 😂
Yeah I know what you mean! It was an interesting place, not the worst by far. That silly digger!
Sorry Ladies Beach was a letdown. If you went there in summer you would have been surrounded by about 50,000 others! It gets r-e-a-l-l-y busy.
You're telling me! I'm not sure if it would get that busy haha.

Why didn’t you go to the ruins? The market maybe, you made it boring zzzz
