I now have the mrw H6, and while it will oberdub, I don't gind it anywhete near the plrasure to use tjat the H4n is. Is the Zoom H4n what I should use ? I'd be recording guitar and voice. For video recording, I use a Sony HDR-CX160 camcorder. Let me know if a camera upgrade could be an option. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi I have a zoom h4n ,ipad,and a panasonic hdc-sd90 camcorder I want to record me playing acoustic guitar and my wife on vocals do I need more mics etc .i just want to make simple good quality videos any advice on equipment I should buy would be very appreciated thanks lee
I don't have advice on equipment other than buy what you can afford. I do have advice on technique. Just try and record everything as separately as possible, that way you can mix it in post to your liking. In other words, don't record the vocals and guitar on one track. If you do and the guitar's too loud, you can't bring it down without effecting the vocals. But if you record the guitar on one track and then vocals on another you have a lot of room in editing.

How'd you get the recording to be so crisp?
I plugged my guitar directly in to my recorder, which is a Zoom H4n. Sounds really nice and crisp.

You use an electro acoustic, that has a mono jack output, but he is using a microphone to record
