  • Hiboy S2 Pro Review - (Purchase Link: www.electricscooterinsider.co...) - ‘The flagship’, that’s where the S2 Pro sits in Hiboy’s S2 line, with a model evocative of the Xiaomi Mi 365, it does, at points, achieve that title. The key aspects differentiating the Pro from the rest of the S2 range are the battery life and 10 inch solid tires which complement the rear dual shock absorbers. The battery allows for a max range of 25 miles and the 500W motor propels the S2 Pro to 19 mph when in ‘Sport’ mode. Combined with an IP54 resistance rating, cruise control, an integrated mobile app, and the option of attaching a seat, the S2 Pro promises a lot of extra features.

    Well, air-filled tires aren't always a pro because having a flat is never fun. Some may argue that the comfort isn't worth changing a tire from a flat, which I've heard is extremely difficult. My friend charges $100 for just one tire change as a service in his bike shop. He says the air filled tires are extremely annoying to change.

      I own the Hiboy S2 Pro. I did my research before selecting it and knew (from the many reviews) that it did not offer as smooth of a ride as scooters with air-filled tires. It's absolutely true that changing a tire, especially if the wheel is the one that is powered by the motor, is a huge pain-in-the-butt - expensive and inconvenient. You don't want to ride the S2 Pro on cobblestones, off-the-road, or jump even small curbs. I already knew that I was planning to ride only on well-paved roads, sidewalks and paths. So, for me, the peace of mind of never getting a flat was worth the rougher ride - which I seldom get because I don't ride on rough surfaces very often.

    Hey there, just stumbled upon your video about "escooters" and I must say, it's refreshing to see someone creating content that highlights the true potential of these electric vehicles. I've been an avid ebike user myself, and I'm thrilled to have come across freebeat's new crowdfunding project - the Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. The fact that it can be charged when in indoor mode is mind-blowing! Not to mention, the 750W motor, 80Nm torque, and the top speed of 20mph are definitely outstanding features. Can't wait to support this project and experience the seamless blend of fitness and outdoor exploration that the Morph e-Bike offers.

    great review. I read a few people reviewing Hiboy scooters and they say that long term battery life is bad. one person was told after a year of use that their batteries were dead and they just had to buy a new battery. sounds like a waste to me.

    I just bought the S2 pro over the Turboant X7 pro for my son. The main reason was that the S2 pro have a regen brake on the left handle. We use to have a MacWheel pro and my kids don't like to ride it because the brakes always tend to wanna throw my son over don't matter how much I try to adjust it or how carefully he hit the brakes, it still tend to stop instantly which sometimes very unsafe for my son. I also read some review and the Turboant X7 pro seem to have that same mechanical brake system and others have complaints about it. We might suffer a bit on ride quality but excel on better brakes and no flat tire issues. Thanks for your review.

  • @DavidEmerling79
    @DavidEmerling79 Год назад +3

    The two brake controls on the Hiboy S2 Pro are not simply front & back brakes. The thumb lever on the left operates the regenerative FRONT brake whereas the hand brake on the right operates BOTH the front and back brakes. The hand (right) brake will cause you to stop much faster than the thumb (left) brake simply because it is using BOTH brakes.

    Are you or anyone reading this comment have issues with battery life? It's advertised at 17 mile range but Im not getting anywhere near that. Honestly I feel like I am getting 3-5 miles maybe. After using it for maybe a mile or 2 the battery indicator goes down to half way. Does turning it on and off often maybe cause a battery drain? I had them ship me a new battery and still the same thing.

  • @lostintheclouds8719

    It was nice to see all the comparisons. I came to watch the S2 pro and compare it to the max3. Thx to your comparison charts, the max 3 sucks. Lol. The s2 pro has some nice specs BUT while watching your review, you got me turned on now to the Turboant x7 pro. That one seems to shine just a lil bit more.
    Also, i guess the tires that are puncture resistant seem to have a rougher ride compared to air filled tires. I like the fact that i wouldn’t have to worry about flats but you hit the nail on the head when you spoke on the suspension. Cuz when i saw the specs on the s2 pro tonight, i asked the same question - why didn’t they throw the shocks up in front? The front wheel absorbs everything. The heck w/ the rear wheel.

      @@toasty4000000 Completely agree. Same here. Whenever I mention solid, there must be some haters jump in and bash my comment. I don't need the debate over and over again. It's just personal preferences, there's no right or wrong. You use your air, I use my solid. Plain and simple. Most if not all the alternatives he mentioned also don't include seats. So pretty much a pointless comparison for people who must have the seat. Some actual alternatives would be Ninebot E45 and Evercross H5, both of which have solids and seat option. Another thing in common is they all have ambient lighting.

    If it were not for one of your earlier Emove Cruiser videos, I probably wouldn't have had the confidence to buy one and would have just abandoned the idea of ever buying an escooter. I knew nobody with an escooter, so I needed to hear from critics with actual insight on what's it's actually like to ride a given scooter (and in the context of *other scooters* especially) for me to be able to feel like I knew what I was getting into.

    We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
