When you realize that WV unified 2 separate armies against their kings with simply raising a flag and giving a speech. Now that's what I call being a leader.
I loved WV and his mayorly ways, but the fact that he single handedly started a revolution against the black king and almost won singlehandedly brought my respect for him up to a new level. It's just awesome seeing this world more fleshed out in general, the absolute scale of Homestuck was insane and I was so glad to see some world-building. Of course, Jack had to come in though, and ruin everything!

Am I the only one who realizes that the Mayor almost won Sburb SINGLE HANDEDLY?! Also, the beta kids' game has cancer and has a lot of things it shouldn't (such as Jack and the Tumor); does the Mayor count as well?
You don't win Sburb by beating the Black King. You win Sburb by sending the Genesis Frog off into Skaia, which can only be accomplished once the Black King is (usually) dead. The Black King is part of the Reckoning, which is when his forces win and begin to destroy the Battlefield and Skaia's defense portals, leaving Skaia helpless. The players have to kill the Black King to stop the Reckoning, or Skaia is destroyed and there is nowhere for Bilious Slick to go. The kid's session's Reckoning was activated by Jack Noir, so that's really the only exception. They technically lost the game, but didn't die like they should have- none of them were really on the Battlefield except the Sprites. Edit: Forgot about the Black Queen, I'm assuming she would be able to command her forces to destroy the Battlefield, or use the Red Miles (probably not, I think it's part of the cancer) to just destroy Skaia. If it can destroy a universe, destroying a planet of energy should be easy.
***** No. Hussie said the Jack is to the BQ, as WV is to the BK. He is in every instance just like Jack. We just don't see him as much XD. I'm still waiting for the big WV and Bec Noir faceoff.
@@St0nek He definitely didn’t exist in the alpha kids’ timeline cause their skaia is stuck at an eternal stalemate. I’m guessing only 2 kings are on the battlefield. Maybe existed in the troll universe but trolls do not give a fuck about the little carapacians
This was the flash I realized the potential of a story sorrounding SBURB. Did homestuck live up to that? Ehhhh, it's hard to say, but probably not. I would definitely read a new SBURB adventure if it focused more on this kind of stuff instead of abnormalities in a session.

There was author commentary at some point (on a website that's now gone) claiming that WV was a "standard" side character in Sburb; just as Jack was there to enable a quest chain to gain an advantage against BQ, WV would normally kick off a quest chain to get help against BK. I imagine that PM exists in other playthroughs as well, but generally doesn't have such an important role; her duties in the Beta session were much more related to the bespoke off-the-rails stuff that had to happen for Tumor/Green Sun reasons.
What if someone stopped the reckoning before it even happened? Before the defense portals were used. It could be possible to interfere with Prospit and Derse and causing distractions on Skaia to buy time. Then imagine the session where the players fight side by side with the white carpacians. That would be awesome and easier if the opportunity was given.
@@partyinpiplup7883 That's true, but the astroids are necessary for other things. Most notably, the code for SBURB is contained within the frog temple, which is only delivered through the reckoning. There is no way to get the code if one doesn't have the frog temple.
@@godlyvex5543 Considering one frog temple on a planet is all you need to get the SBURB code, don't you only need one session to send over the frog temple? Given there is one frog temple on Earth, the Beta kids' session most likely was the only one that sent the frog temple to Earth, and perhaps the only session that even HAD a frog temple at all, given how they were fated to play it because of their ectobiological background. As for the rain of meteors, only a few dozen sessions that start the reckoning is probably enough to get planet-destroying amount of meteors.

Maybe less than one in some cases, for example caliborn, who never had a reckoning due to a faulty session. I think we'll learn more about multi-sessions in the future though, what with HSˆ2 on the rise towards a new session/sessions.

in all honestly he probably aided jack by distracting the black king, who probably should have been mroe powerful then jack. mayor still badass though
