My new muffler came today and this video came into my feed. Wonderful information. Thank you. Also bought the tools to get the hose off from a previous video. Very helpful. Wish I had known this information earlier. Now I just need to figure out how to bend my 20 year old exhaust hose to fit the new larger muffler...
Thank you for this informative information. I was able to cut the 2” wired hose per your instruction and used a vibrating saw to cut the wire. super quick.
Subscribed. Super underrated channel. I did have one question. I had to remove 2 similar hoses with stainless steel wires running in them (looked like 12 gauge). The working space was extra tight and uncomfortable. Ended up having to use bolt cutters because all my wire cutters couldn’t hack it. What is the name and manufacturer of the cutters you’re using? I might need to get me a used pair of those to keep in toolbox. Thanks for your help.
The HD cutters I use are manufactured by ARM. I can't recall where I bought them many years ago. They are made to cut wire rope. I did a google search which brought up lots of options. And so many choices on amazon.
I try not to buy stuff on Amazon when it comes to heavy duty tools. Most are Chinese, and break after few uses. I found a pair of the cutters in Japan and ordered them. Vintage. Probably will last me forever. Thank you for your help. Love the channel.
I was taught that "wire" cutters should never be used on steel, but rather a bolt cutter or something else rated for cutting steel. I gather your "heavy duty" cutters are rated for steel wire rope, but your dikes look like common wire cutters. Do you not find that cutting steel with the tends to deform their cutting edges?
Excellent video, I am in the Marine world and there is a definite need for accurate simple videos like this channel
Great video, thanks for showing me how to cut this wire reinforced water hose. Worked great.

OK, glad I watched that
If someone can't figure out how to cut hose on their own- then they shouldn't be working on a boat.
