If you use TPA then Hoyoverse is probably right to ban you, but if you "skip" through content via glitches within the game, you shouldn't get banned, imo.
Obviously not, i have always been against banning players permanently or for a long periods for glitch abusing. Why?
Because if there is a glitch on the game, thats fault of the dev team for doing a garbage and broken code that doesnt work properly

@@DanikxGrey, I don't think you should give the devs that much blame. Most games, if not all, will inevitably have at least 1 abusive bug that slips through the cracks no matter how well-made it is. I think a light ban (barely a few days/weeks) is probably most suitable since the player is responsible for making the active decision to use a game-breaking bug and especially if it impacts other players. Still, they're not actively cheating, so it doesn't warrant a full punishment.

Moosashi does great videos about skipping through content by utilizing glitches without actually doing quests. If you use third party apps to skip through, then I definitely agree the ban. With glitches, definitely no.
I think Hoyoverse should really start putting a Skip option for dialogues ESPECIALLY in Daily Commissions

I play multiple accounts so in dire need of skip button. I play for other's account who wants to skipped certain quest/story.

Genshin does have a really interesting story. However they have the WORST method of giving that story to the players that's why it feels so bad. Genshin literally does the exact opposite of "show don't tell".

Show don't tell is a double edge sword tbh . It will require more attention to understand the story and it could leave some player behind plus it also very hard to pull of . That why when it done right, the story is good but if it done wrong then the story become confusing .

And the worst part: They repeat themself so much. Sometimes they say the same sentence again and again only a little bit different. Every english/chinese teacher would pick the red pencil and remove 70% of the story for being repetitive.
The only thing that is "bad" in the storytelling is that Paimon always tries to recap/repeat everything that the npc/characters had said for the past hour. Like ffs Paimon we can read.
@@user-cp8ds9lx9y Depends on the game. For instance, Dark Souls and other FromSoft games rely on scattered pieces of lore on various bits of equipment, items and even their locations as well as key corpses and enemies, to tell a story.
However, like I said: it depends on the game: in Dark Souls, you are intentionally witheld from most of the story so you can discover what's really going on and understand how it got to that point. It also works from the fact that the world is desolated so not many people are willing to talk to you (not that there were many to begin with).
Genshin on the other hand is a game where you are discovering its very world, that means you HAVE to speak with many people along with ti's cultures and do many things in order to understand what's going on. It also uses exploration in key locations to help deepen your understanding of the world.
That said: I believe the reason many people don't like this form of story telling is because this is actual story telling. Many people prefer a more hands-on approach lately and I think it's due more to the western side of the globe having developed a trend to that direction of story telling rather than actually having a dense story presented to you from the get go. This is also the reason why I prefer more eastern games lately, I apreciate a good story and if I don't have the time, I have the pacience to pick it up when I do.
imagine watching anime where there are 10 minute dialogues about nothing and are actually not funny at all and characters are not even move during these 10 minutes... they just stand in one place and keep repeating hand animations over and over again... ahh yes the peak gaming moment

@@cynolover Well the developers did not create the dialogue just to be skipped with the sole purpose of content creation. Also their decision is closely related to preventing people from creating multiple accounts and speedrunning all content with the purpose of selling those accounts. I hope this sheds light on the reason why they wouldn't allow such convenience.

Maybe if they actually developed their characters so that literal NPCs aren't getting more character arcs, gave the protagonist a voice rather than having Paimon screeching for us, put some actual focus on the protagonist's end goal, fixed the abysmal pacing of their story quests, used some actual 'show don't tell' techniques rather than having Paimon over explain everything for dozens upon dozens of ear grating voice lines, etc. I could possibly agree that it's a great story. But never would I call it one of the best.

It is the "best story" ... if we they are talking about the traveller siblings story, archon storylines and Khaenri'ah related stories then yes. Anything else? Fck no. For example, Yoimiya's story is a waste of time but you have to play it to get to the archon quest. Also fanservice stories like Ayaka's just drag out. Why is it even in included in archon quest. I havent been to Sumeru and I'm trying to find ways to skip it because I can't stand the dendro archon and most characters in Sumeru are mid except for Wanderer.

The only time when it's actually a little interesting it's when a playable character talk or a cut scene,
some aspects i really hate first would be paimon being annoying in any story quest, she repeats what other's been talking about for the past few hours, makes random ass jokes at the worst times, sometimes talk nonsense (i don't hate her, she is cute at times but mostly annoying)
and whats the point of the dialogue choices we make?
Also we spend most of the time talking to random npcs that shows up one time to never be shown on the screen ever again and if they going to make the npcs so important at least give them different faces/features, madam ping being one of the lost potentials they wasted, dunyazad?
Still i gotta say, the new archon quest was actually refreshing, the storytelling was for the first time enjoyable and i loved the new form of dialogue choices with surprisingly the mc voice over, there was even less paimon talking

Honestly though I don't see any point in the ban. Like yeah, he did use a 3rd party program in the game, but did that affect gameplay in any way? No, it did not. Did it give him an advantage? No it did not. The point in saying that you can't use 3rd party programs is to keep the game fair for everyone and to prevent things like datamining and alterations to the game. Skipping dialogue does not hurt Hoyoverse or the game in any way, so it makes no sense. They could just add a skip all button and there would be no problem.

I can be patient without a skip button, but when most story quests start taking one to four hours, and Archon quests nowadays stretch to 15 hours, I've reached my limit.

Listen non-skippers, let's just agree to disagree. We continue to skip, and you continue to read. That's why Hoyoverse should implement a skip button; because we skippers cannot properly skip a scene while you can already properly read a scene.

Yes I agree. This is absolutely arguable. Both verbally and physically.
Its going be easy and no trouble if mihoyo add a frackin skip option , but no a achivement searth bar IS REALLY more important.
Ask for a skip button in surveys. It's been 3 years and Hoyoverse hasn't made any major decisions considering their dragged out story. At this point in time as a veteran player I don't fucking care about the direction the story is taking. It's probabply gonna be predictable anyway, mark my words we'll be disappointed with wasting so much time for a weak ending.
This is why i always do Daily Commissions, Domains and Events first before i jump into Story Quests. Gives more time to enjoy them.

This is really hard to side with that honestly. The story is profound, a way of dealing with different ways government can handle certain situations, offerings they might do to keep their nation alive and well, or straight up leave em to be. The travelers story is alright, something different but similar to Zelda if we are comparing to other open world games, and over all kept me entertained even if I skipped through much of it(Not through the methods mentioned, I just spammed the Next Button). But even then it's not the best. It's a 7/10 but nothing major.
I would gladly start genshin all over again and play a weapon-only series IF I COULD SKIP THE ANNOYING DIALOGUES.
But without a SKIP Button no chance.
And while the story is nice and it contains some cool cutscenes, its definitaly not the best. No lip sync, infinite dialogue about law and byrocracy and bad written (repeating) sentences are awful as hell.
Why ban someone in a singleplayer game? Whom did he hurt. Let us play the way we want. Banning someone in PvP games fine, but not in a singleplayer game.

Using a 3rd party app is agaisnt ToS and it is risky for both Hoyo and the player themself(risk of getting hack). This is not your game, this is Hoyo's game. It is their freedom to ban you if you violating the game ToS.

As for why the lip sync is not so sync, it only happens with other languages outside of Chinese. They sync the animation with the CN dialogue so of course it wouldn't look consistent with other languages
They're not banning him because of skipping the stories by but he's being using a third party app which is against the TOS of Genshin. So it's their fault not mihoyo. Try to understand something better before say anything next time.

No, Genshin's story is not one of the best video game stories of all time, not even close. In fact it's painstakingly average, often times below average. I can name several games with vastly superior stories off the top of my head, including MiHoYo's flagship game, HI3, interestingly enough.

This is just my theory but
in other game like honkai or arknight , while it have skip button , it have hundred of battle to suck out your time in the story mode where you could just even get lock out of the story and have to grind before doing the story mode again .
Genshin is a story driven game , making people getting interrupted in th story and force to stop because of a difficult battle is death to the game so they have to make super easy battle and less battle unlike other game. Because of that , people won't spend that much time in the story mode so they basically have to cut the skip button to pad out more time .
Genshin is not a story driven game. It’s a gacha like all the others. But without content. That’s why you enhance the importance of the story.

Alright, can we please start a petition for a fucking skip button? I've had it up to here with these damn dialogues that drag on forever when all I want is to kill some monsters. I mean, when I first dove into Genshin Impact at launch, it was all cool and all. But now? It's like every single quest or daily mission is just one long, pointless conversation after another and with the illusion of choice with those dialogue options that don't chance a damn thing most of the time.
Also, the game has fast travel with teleporters, but seriously, what's the point of having this vast, beautiful world if getting around it feels like a chore? Why not give us something like a pet to ride or a vehicle to zip around in, something that lets us explore without constantly resorting to teleporting and loading screens?

Ask for a skip button in surveys. It's been 3 years and Hoyoverse hasn't made any major decisions considering their dragged out story. At this point in time as a veteran player I don't fucking care about the direction the story is taking. It's probabply gonna be predictable anyway, mark my words we'll be disappointed with wasting so much time for a weak ending.
Maybe the story is good, I wouldn't know though because the way it's delivered is so bad and boring I'm too busy killing my house trying to get through it

its mihoyo s fault for not adding a fucking skip button, i literally falled asleep on the fucking teapot quest, ganyu's quest and a lot of other quests i dont remember, everyone saying " i like the story i didnt skipped anything, but thats kinda bullshit, i like the story too but only the main quests are interesting, yet i still skip some dilagoues cuz its being explained in a very boring way
I'm the type of knuckle deep avid player. I've never skipped lines. I enjoy it way more than conveyable. I concur with the fact that Genshin Impact has the best storyline ever, after having played myriads of games - even the most criminally underrated ones. I pay attention down to the most scrupulous details, I'm the meticulous kind of person who scrutinizes each word.
"Best story line ever" are you like 10? Is Genshin your first video game? I don't believe you even for a second that you have played other games, you probably only play F2P titles.

Its not our fault that they have been using the stories just to take our time and market new characters without adding to the substance of the lore just because people want content content content and they find the easiest way to implement more "content" and stick with it.
I know many wants a "skip" button for the conversations but hey you gotta respect the effort cause hoyo just simply said "we work hard for the story, so read it."
They do not work hard for the story. It’s boring, stale, with lots of filler and childish dialogues. And they stretch it because there is no other content in the game.

damn i should be grateful 0-0 a while back i tried using an autoclicker to skip through the dialouge but it wouldnt work when i tabbed onto genshin so i just gave up there, glad i did now omg-
