I really enjoyed this presentation, no wasted chat at the beginning, describing as you work in simple terms, the music was at a comfortable level and did not detract or compete with your narrative-it was a good choice and fitted the project nicely. Great ideas for newcomers with a small lathe. Given that eBay shopping has gained ground the past year due to the various COVID restrictions, I can see that these smaller items could sell very well-some natural, some waxed, some painted. I like the idea of a small label naming the timber species-could easily be done on home make-paper for that extra touch. I live in Tasmania on a 5-acre natural bush property with various a range of eucalyptus, wattle, blackwood and more. All hardwoods and ideal for these ornamental items, and I have many lifetime’s endless supply. Thank you for sharing your ideas & techniques, much appreciated. 👍😁🇦🇺🦘

Thank you Sheryl. Music gets a lot of comments. Some love the relaxing aspect some do not. Other do not want any music at all. I mix it up now although when I do add music I still go for the calming stuff, it is excellent to watch before bed! I really appreciate you watching!

The bottom should be made removable to clean out old nesting material otherwise there will be a build up of parasites and no more birds will use it

Yes the bottom is removable on the functional ones. Thanks for watching though

Sometimes there are activities going on in the shop or outside noise that I don’t want in the video. Thanks for watching Leandro.

I would like to have the plans for the bird house #2 this show. Comments # 74 please.

Hi Cliff, I don’t have plans for these, I just make them. For the birds I want to use them you just need a 4” diameter hole 8” deep with a 1-1/4” entrance hole that is about 6” up from the bottom. You can use any size wood you like that will house that hole size. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

@@kerstin4516 to clarify on the birdhouse, the small one was only an ornament, the second was the usable one. good night to you!

There is one problem I see is some people think they can use it for hummingbirds. Sorry they will never nest in it. Google it if you don't believe me. So selling it as hummingbird house would be a scam. You could use it as a knick-knack to put in your house like craftsmen's of this video states ornamental. And yes they very nice.

100% correct, hummingbirds will not live in them. The large ones always get swallows or blue birds though. Thank you for watching Lloyd!
