You should do the big 5 personality test. It is the test that personality psychologist use that has been studied to be the most accurate way we have now to measure personality.

I think your results from when you took the test are more accurate than when your parents took it for you. They saw your behavior but they didn’t necessarily see your motivation behind the behavior. Also. After watching your videos I had already thought you were a yellow/red. Be proud of your yellow red- that combo makes you very likable, and a great leader, someone who gets stuff done but mostly in a way that others admire or appreciate. You also inspire people easily with that combo.
Since you've trained on this could you clarify for me that like I'm not wrong in being Yellow/Blue? I feel like I've taken the test wrong because everything I read implies that that combination is a non issue because they're opposites and don't collide in one person ever
zobothehobo - Sorry for the late reply!! Yellow/blue is a wonderful combination. My wife and one of my sons is yellow blue. They can enhance one another very well. The blue can be very intense and worry prone, so the yellow gives the blue a path to emotional survival. The yellow can be flighty, and self-centered, but the blue provides a path to show empathy and value relationships with others. The key is to identify the strengths of each color and work at developing those. The result will be that the inherent weaknesses will subside over time. Example - Yellows can be unintentionally rude because they are focused can be themselves and don’t know where to draw the line when cracking jokes - but a strength of the blue is paying attention to the needs of others and acting in it - so...by leaning on the blue strength, it motivates the yellow weakness. Does it all make sense?

I guess where I'm struggling is that I have always had some negative traits of yellow; irresponsibility, forgetfulness, lack of follow through, starting projects without finishing them... but I've never had the interpersonal negative traits of yellow and seeing it discussed feels off, Like I feel like I've been a yellowblue from birth.
zobothehobo - You HAVE been yellow/blue from birth. The idea of your secondary color coming out in your adulthood Comes from the fact that it is easy for us to learn from our secondary color. But the color has been there since birth. We have an opportunity to develop new strengths and abilities and I just are behavior as we get more mature in life. My secondary color more than our primary color offers us our best opportunity to grow.
zobothehobo @zobothehobo, it’s all good that you have negative traits from your primary color. That’s just being a human being. The goal is to use colorcode as a way to see what we can learn. And then go through the hard work of learning those new habits and new traits. For example, I’m a primary Red, and when I was younger I was very aggressive in my interpersonal relationships. That’s a negative trait of the red. But as I’ve matured, I’ve leaned from my secondary blue to learn how to be more considerate and empathetic of others. Forgive yourself for any past weaknesses, and look forward to the future and use color code as a way to grow.

I do def have my doubts about how researched/important this is, BUT as someone who doesn't normally like personality quizzes I actually found this one pretty neat to take. The results weren't anything revolutionary, but the process of thinking about what I was like as a kid in very concrete terms as I took the quiz and trying to piece out the parts of my personality that were reactions to how much everyone around me was telling me to be smaller was surprisingly therapeutic. Also like literally every one of Stevie's self-drags I felt so hard.
I remember doing this in college (art school) and the way we did it was interesting in that we probably took the free one and tallied points, but it was written as blue, gold, white and red. after we got our results we broke off into groups of our largest color and designed a city on one of those giant sticky note pages for about 10 minutes. then compared how each color designed and went about it. definitely a lot more interesting than it seemed from just the website. for our staff is allowed us to see how our members worked so we might get a perspective for why we work the way we do. But of course, while all of these personality things are rubbish i still find them fun cause it gives me a place to start so i can reevaluate and work on me and the ways i want to positively change myself. 😊 Edit: i was absolutely a yellow/gold when i did it.
I also wound up with really close numbers and so everything feels just partially true. It also stresses me out because I have friends who are super into it & it's a thing where I feel like people are trying to impose their meaning-making framework onto me in a way that I really did not enjoy. But I love how much they love it!

I listened to a podcast (the Personality Psychology episode of Ologies) with someone who studies this kind of thing, I thought it was v interesting to hear a more scientific approach to this topic than I'm used to :))

I took the quiz alongside the video, didn't really like the questions in quiz but also I knew before I finished it that I was a full red. not going to pay for the full version (it doesn't seem like it's any different than the free quiz anyway, just that it gives you more color results at the end) but just based on the wiki I think my secondary's white
I just did the test. Some questions were hard... I was like "I don't know" "none of the above" or "two of the above"... I also was different with my family than at school. I was bossy with my little sister, but quiet, shy and withdrawn all through school. In any case, I got Blue. I just did the free one so no details or breakdowns... but based on the colour placements in the video I'd say my second highest was white, but I was about 60-65% blue (somewhere between 50 & 75%... about 2/3 of the pie).
The way Hannah looks and acts like in that clip with her parents at the end, is how I imagine teenage/young adult Hannah must have been like^^ quite adoreble actually!
I feel like most children would come out mostly red, though. Kids in general don't have very well-developed empathy and tend to be more self-focused. They don't have great abstract thinking capabilities until they're older, so it's hard for them to really consider the feelings of others on a regular basis.
i might be a monster cause when stevie said she tried to poison her brother my mind went instantly to "well did he deserve it?" - i also had an abusive upbringing and i did run after my brother with a knife in my hand when i was a kindergardner. and honestly i'm very prone to guilt spirals but i don't feel guilty about the violent impulses i had as little human bean cause i was too young to have to be that defensive. woah this comment was to meant to be a joke but it turned into a journal entry!

Wow I just did mine and I am a red ( or was as a child). I am shocked although I have changed loads since I was a child due to many things that happened in my personal life, so I think I'm a blue (maybe white?) now... My red was close to 70% I think 😳 Love these personality quizzes ❤️
When you described them at the beginning, I thought oh I'm a white. I took the test and ... I was a white. Lol. None of the others even made sense for me (as a child or now). X) I think your parents got it right. You're an even balance of the different colors. You clearly have positive traits from all of them. Fun test and video!
I did that same quiz and got white. But I really struggled with nearly all the questions. They just didn't have an option for me as a child for a lot of them. So I defaulted to how I am now. But I do still agree that I'm white - red. I definitely needed to learn some red techniques to protecc myself emotionally.

I rather relate to them all... but none of them in particular. Haha, story of my life. What do you think? Let me tell you about myself. My biggest personality trait is curiosity. I always want to know more, want to learn, want to know why, how, want to learn everything there is to know about something and want to find out everything I can about everything. I'm very determined, very patient, very caring... I'm a good leader and a good teacher. I know what I want, and I will do what I want, whatever anyone else says and however long it takes. I'll listen to advice, I'll take it into consideration, but advice is just advice and if I don't agree with it I won't follow it. I'm very academic - I love to learn. I love the lessons at school - actually more than the breaks. I go to school to learn. I'm very logical. I'm naturally good at science and maths, and although I am creative and enjoy art, it takes more effort for me and doesn't come as naturally. I love English lessons too, as we often have really interesting discussions. So yeah, my favourite subjects are the 3 core subjects. I nearly always do as I'm supposed to at school, not because I'm supposed to but because I understand it's in my best interest and will help my learning. If I don't believe that I won't do it. I've always got on well with teachers, and adults in general, and listen to them and respect what they've learned over time. But I am good at listening and understanding the reasons, even since I was young, so it's rarely a problem. This one was hard for me since it was based on childhood and I spent childhood with an undiagnosed and untreated mental illness - it's hard to distinguish what my actual personality was? Not a huge fan of this quiz because I know very few people who are unchanged since childhood.
Oh...I love Stevie...not surprised about the "brother poisoning" as a toddler though. But as for this quiz...It is kinda hard to remember what you were like from ages 1-5...don't you think? A parents point of view is a good way to start deciphering who you were back then...but I think if you enlisted an older sibling or a long time friend as well it would prove to be more informative. I tried taking a free quiz, but I got hung up on the section on Situations. There were too many questions I just couldn’t answer. For example, how others related to me. I didn’t know then, and the intervening years have not filled in the gaps. Still, it looks like an interesting approach for those who are perhaps clued in a little better.

I took the free version cause I'm an 18 year old who doesn't have $40 to spend on finding out my percentages of colors 😂. I ended up getting blue which I feel conflicted about. This was my first time hearing of this test so I don't know much about it obviously. I don't consider myself to be a very emotional person, but I guess I am in an introverted sort of way. I'm pretty sure my secondary color is red. But like Stevie said, I don't know if that's because of who I actually was or if it was in response to trauma. I had a lot of things going on as a kid. I'm curious to take the money version but I can't justify it enough. I'm curious to do more "research" on this though.

In any case, I got Blue. I just did the free one so no details or breakdowns... but based on the colour placements in the video I'd say my second highest was white, but I was about 60-65% blue (somewhere between 50 & 75%... about 2/3 of the pie).

I feel like most children would come out mostly red, though. Kids in general don't have very well-developed empathy and tend to be more self-focused. They don't have great abstract thinking capabilities until they're older, so it's hard for them to really consider the feelings of others on a regular basis.

i might be a monster cause when stevie said she tried to poison her brother my mind went instantly to "well did he deserve it?" - i also had an abusive upbringing and i did run after my brother with a knife in my hand when i was a kindergardner. and honestly i'm very prone to guilt spirals but i don't feel guilty about the violent impulses i had as little human bean cause i was too young to have to be that defensive. woah this comment was to meant to be a joke but it turned into a journal entry!

Wow I just did mine and I am a red ( or was as a child). I am shocked although I have changed loads since I was a child due to many things that happened in my personal life, so I think I'm a blue (maybe white?) now... My red was close to 70% I think 😳

I did that same quiz and got white. But I really struggled with nearly all the questions. They just didn't have an option for me as a child for a lot of them. So I defaulted to how I am now. But I do still agree that I'm white - red. I definitely needed to learn some red techniques to protecc myself emotionally.

I rather relate to them all... but none of them in particular. Haha, story of my life. What do you think? Let me tell you about myself. My biggest personality trait is curiosity. I always want to know more, want to learn, want to know why, how, want to learn everything there is to know about something and want to find out everything I can about everything. I'm very determined, very patient, very caring... I'm a good leader and a good teacher. I know what I want, and I will do what I want, whatever anyone else says and however long it takes. Also I'm persuasive, determined - I said it before but it's a big thing, and not at all gullible or easily persuaded myself. I don't care what people think unless I choose to care, aswell. Well, I don't care what they think of me. I care about other people's feelings, but maybe more their feelings than thoughts. I listen to what people say, then do with my knowledge of their opinions as I please. Also I'm a teenager. So, what do you think I am?

This one was hard for me since it was based on childhood and I spent childhood with an undiagnosed and untreated mental illness - it's hard to distinguish what my actual personality was? Not a huge fan of this quiz because I know very few people who are unchanged since childhood.
Oh...I love Stevie...not surprised about the "brother poisoning" as a toddler though. But as for this quiz...It is kinda hard to remember what you were like from ages 1-5...don't you think? A parents point of view is a good way to start deciphering who you were back then...but I think if you enlisted an older sibling or a long time friend as well it would prove to be more informative. I took the test and turnes out I'm white. I agree with some of the things it tells about but I prefer other test. There were some questions I took time answering because I was between two or even three posible answers. I don't know. Also looking at the colours I also think I have blue in me.

From the quick descriptions I was like I’m such a white because everyone said I would be an amazing politician because when I was wee I would avoid answering questions directly and try not the offend but then I did the test and it said I was a yellow which was interesting
I tried taking a free quiz, but I got hung up on the section on Situations. There were too many questions I just couldn’t answer. For example, how others related to me. I didn’t know then, and the intervening years have not filled in the gaps. Still, it looks like an interesting approach for those who are perhaps clued in a little better.

I took the free version cause I'm an 18 year old who doesn't have $40 to spend on finding out my percentages of colors 😂. I ended up getting blue which I feel conflicted about. This was my first time hearing of this test so I don't know much about it obviously. I don't consider myself to be a very emotional person, but I guess I am in an introverted sort of way. I'm pretty sure my secondary color is red. But like Stevie said, I don't know if that's because of who I actually was or if it was in response to trauma. I had a lot of things going on as a kid. I'm curious to take the money version but I can't justify it enough. I'm curious to do more "research" on this though.

According to the test I’m somewhere around 60-70% white.. it was the free version so it didn’t show the other colors but one was almost exactly 25% and the others probably between 5% and 10%.. not sure what it means though 😅
