As I am the highly intelligent, well- educated Gallaudet University graduate in Class of 1981 in my true backgrounds of my life, I am the registered Democrat voter as my D’Auria family on American soil are the registered Democrat voters in a fact. My hard- of- hearing brother living in NYC, New York is the registered Democrat voter working as a volunteer in the Democratic National Party as I know. Better to educate our deaf communities about US politics, and other voting issues and voting rights is very important with strong emphasis in our Deaf America. Christa D’Auria
I totally agree with you!! I vote every year. However, how many Deaf people who are language deprived understand too many words in every proposal or bill? Why can’t the Deaf organizations or Deaf services have TIME to provide a town hall or workshop to help them understand what each bill or proposal says? $$$$. No town hall or workshop, they do not vote. News, newspapers or internets are confusing them. Sad. Vote not matters to them. Voting candidates is a huge challenge. How can we help them? Don’t start “Vote matters”. Start where they do not understand out there.
Well Said! thank you for clarifying. 👍

Yes. I told them if they want to keep deaf life better, VOTE! Or blew it away for Trump.
Unfortunately we are facing an apathy among deaf individuals to voice their concerns and vote. All we need to do is to keep encouraging them to vote.
