Imo the best time for Rs was pre 07, it was such simpler times. No one used brews or combo food. It was all just sharks even brids. No matter the world there was at least 1 person around mage bank. The game was so active and everyone played just for fun. Mannnn

I remember my first ever beast set up. I would love to go for a day or two just to play in that year with the old memories. When our parents told us to enjoy this life before it's over. Never thought about it like that.
The full armadyl neitz helm arcane set looked absolutely incredible. You should just do a video pking in that but with a voidwaker and blood fury or whatever

this was a sick concept! really cool to see the progress so clearly! Interesting that you think it's gone too far and I am curious as to what you meant by it? Cause I keep seeing all these videos like "10k larrans keys without banking" etc, so it seems to me that survivability is really high if you know what you're doing? But obviously PKers also have more tools in their arsenal than ever, as showcased beautifully by this video! From my (very much non-expert) POV it seems like there is a really cool spectrum of survivability/risk ratio on the defensive side in the wilderness and on the flip side a similar KOability/risk ratio for PKers. But I would love to hear a more in depth exploration of the topic from an expert like you! (Maybe that's a video idea!) Anyway, amazing content as always, keep crushing it!
It's gone too far because if you don't have 2b risk to bring to the wilderness, you're going to die, as shown in this video. Too far because anybody coming to the wilderness for anything else besides max gear pking is going to die if they come across someone in max gear, guaranteed. Doesn't even have to be max. It really pushes the hell out of RWT and the entire gambling addiction mindset everyone in this game that PvP's seems to have.

lol back in 06 we didn’t DD, 1 tick, etc Half the pkers were barraging with whip equipped lol I used to have master wand, ahrims, verac helm, whip, dds, and tank gear and back then you just smited cause half the people pking were in mystics and rune But yeah huge power gap since then, and most pkers have evolved I remember like 2010 people really started NHing back when wilderness was gone and PvP worlds came out

It took a certain angry fella to get kicked out a certain clan, to form hit teams that started the whole nh era. 1tick specs were not a thing because shortcut keys weren't in the game yet. But people like skullator were very-very close to doing 1tick specs. And we did use to delay the spec switch about as long as was physically possible with the mice we had back in the days.

I think the first 5 minute shows that organically learning how to pk in deep wildy for am average player is gonna cost soooo much in deaths or just gets absolutely rolled super often by nit having good gear. Kinda shows when one if the best pkers on RUclips can't get a kill while risking more than a lot of learning would like to. I know the odds spec weapon and no piety doesn't help, but that was rough
I mean it is super overpowered but there is only a certain small amount of players who could actually afford to use that gear and even less that can afford to go down in it I know I couldn't
07 still the best time to play OSRS. Jagex made way too many overpowered weapons the pass couple of years and messed up Runescape. such a shame to a game that used to be one of the best RPG game ever.
