@So What Yes and No. For contestants who have low scores, I think working with YuXin is a great idea because she has so much exposure on the show, hence that light could lead to better exposure on other contestants. Plus, I think the contestants can learn heaps from her, not merely skills, but it is a character building process. She is one of the very few trainees or even celebs who embodies genuine humility despite her tremendous talents and outstanding skills. That's just my two cents, but can totally understand your view. :)
I fell in love with Xin during The Eve, but watching this episode makes me love her even more. Like how can a person be this talented and charismatic AND kind and selfless as well? She is one of the best female popping dancer in Asia now and popping master Lin meng is her teacher. It is very brave for her to choose popping, as u all know popping is a type of dance that needs supper strong energy and muscles to control ur body, so its usually harder for girls than boys to learn popping. But Xin Liu wants people to know how strong and powerful girls could also be. 2012, Xin Liu participated in a competition called "Go Up! Junior" （向上吧！少年）and won the Most Upward Junior Award, famous idol like Kiku, or Karry Wang and Jackson Yee from the TFboys, and even one of the coach from “Youth with You”, Kun also attend this competition show, but Xin is the winner of that show, her dancing skills impressed everyone. Liu Yuxin is 23 years old. Her birthday is 4/20 - which is today! Her mother is an actress and her father worked in music. Therefore she naturally gravitated towards the arts. At the age of 10, she set her mind on a dancing career after seeing street performers dance, and at 12 began her studies at the prestigious Beijing Conservatory of Music. Over the next 10 years, she won numerous prominent dance competitions - some of which Kun himself participated in (host of YWY2). Somehow she never got her big break. This led her to join a talent survival show in 2015 in the hopes of gaining more recognition. She went on to win and joined a group called Lady's Bees. The group released a couple of songs however is now in hiatus. Since 2018, she released solo projects such as "Hot Party" and "Don't Want to Miss You." I think both videos represent her artistic direction well. They showcase her incredible mass appeal but also the depth of her artistry as a composer. All of the trainees on the show are familiar with her work and have a tremendous amount of respect for her as evidenced by their votes during the centerstage selection. She is extremely humble for someone who has been in the industry for this long. I don't believe her actions are "for show." If this were the case she would try a little harder and she would've received far more screentime than what we've seen until now. Her goals are to perform arena concerts, release full-length albums, give back to her fans through music, and to inspire people from all walks of life to continue to live courageously. As an androgynous artist who has struggled to break into the music industry for the past decade, she knows "courage." Liu Yuxin is 23 years old. Her birthday is 4/20 - which is today! Her mother is an actress and her father worked in music. Therefore she naturally gravitated towards the arts. At the age of 10, she set her mind on a dancing career after seeing street performers dance, and at 12 began her studies at the prestigious Beijing Conservatory of Music. Over the next 10 years, she won numerous prominent dance competitions - some of which Kun himself participated in (host of YWY2). Somehow she never got her big break. This led her to join a talent survival show in 2015 in the hopes of gaining more recognition. She went on to win and joined a group called Lady's Bees. The group released a couple of songs however is now in hiatus. Since 2018, she released solo projects such as "Hot Party" and "Don't Want to Miss You." I think both videos represent her artistic direction well. They showcase her incredible mass appeal but also the depth of her artistry as a composer.
All of the trainees on the show are familiar with her work and have a tremendous amount of respect for her as evidenced by their votes during the centerstage selection. She is extremely humble for someone who has been in the industry for this long. I don't believe her actions are "for show." If this were the case she would try a little harder and she would've received far more screentime than what we've seen until now.
Her goals are to perform arena concerts, release full-length albums, give back to her fans through music, and to inspire people from all walks of life to continue to live courageously. As an androgynous artist who has struggled to break into the music industry for the past decade, she knows "courage."
