Ticket Dabang girls like Hwang Ji-hee (Hui-soo's mother) offer sexual services to their clients if they pay the additional fee for the ticket. The love story between Hwang Ji-hee and Jang Ju-won is the most tragic and touching story in this show. She saved him from the loneliness and cruelty of the world, and gave meaning to his life. He took her off the street and saved her from a meaningless life that she rejected deep down and that embarrassed her. Each one saved the other and granted him/her redemption. That's why the future is so painful. The scenes of Jang Ju-won's fight against the army of gangsters in the motel and on the streets of the neighborhood are undoubtedly excellent, a masterpiece of action cinema, with wonderful choreography, an unbeatable battle script and Sublime camera handling. Director Min Yong Jun showed how he has dedicated his life to recruiting superhumans for his black ops team by all means, and will stop at nothing to achieve it. Taking into account that Kim Doo Sik was already working for him at least in 1987 (when the terrorist attack against the plane), a year before the end of the military dictatorship, it would be reasonable to ask if he did not recruit Kim Doo Sik by force, and if he was the first superhuman that Director identified and recruited. If so, that could explain the mutual animosity that always existed between the two.
At this point in the story we get a clearer look into the Director's grand design. However, how he goes about it leaves little to be desired. Once again, thank you for this exceptional comment.
Moon-san, Guryong-po, Na-ju, Jin-cheon, etc are neigborhood/city names in S.korea. Their codenames are their birthplace/hometown. I really enjoyed the hallway fight scene too, it's so cool. Can't wait for next episodes reaction guys!! Much Love...
Fire punch!! + I love the detail that Juwon gave his cozy place to Jihee (he let other women to sit on the door side) and he finally closed the window for Jihee even though he is claustrophobic.
Let’s appreciate guryongpo’s actor, he’s name is Ryu Seung Ryong, one of the a list veteran actor he was the in Kingdom, Miracle in Cell No. 7 and my fave movie is Extreme Job. y’all should check it out, its hilarious 😂, also wait on thr latter episode he’s not done giving u wide range of excellent acting, im excited as u guys go further with the episodes ❤
that scene where he literally wraps his body around hers so that she won't get hurt...just full body chills every. single. time. I love their story so much! 🥰
As explained in the post of the previous episode, the "Coffee Ladies" are officially not prostitutes: they deliver coffee to the customer's home or to the Dabang (coffee shop) and stay with them to keep them company. However, by paying a so-called ticket, extra services can be arranged, which is usually sex. So in fact they are all prostitutes. In Korea everyone knows what these girls do, so when Ju-won asked the motel owner to order a coffee from that Dabang, the owner replied: "then you're not really a saint" or something like that, assuming that he wants to have sex at that moment. It gets even funnier when Ju-won, not finding Ji-hee to deliver his coffee, keeps calling for more coffee again and again, thus making the motel owner believe that he is having sex with all these women one after another the other, giving the worst possible image, as if he were sex-hungry or something. Yes, the Condor trilogy are actually existing wuxia novels, written by Jin Yong. Without going into too much detail, the parallel between these novels and the works of Kang Full from which he drew inspiration is evident to those who have read them. Moreover, in the phrase "they are martial arts novels, but they talk about love" or something like that, you can find the whole leitmotif of Moving: a story of action, espionage, assassins, monsters, but that its heart is love, and love story between the characters. The parallel between Hulk, the Marvel character, and Ju-won is quite obvious: a monster in appearance, but with a good heart. In case the sequence of events wasn't clear: Min-ki didn't know where Ju-won was hiding, but after Ju-won beats up the guys who attacked Ji-hee, one of them manages to escape, ask for the help from his brother, who was the boss of that area. Word gets to Min-ki, she knows it's Ju-won, so she joins that other guy's gang to ambush Ju-won. Meanwhile Min Yong-jun, uses his government power to shut down the motel area using the police under the guise of the government's recent war on crime (as explained in the previous episode's post) so that the gangsters can push the limit Ju-won's abilities, so that Min Yong-jun can see if he can be an asset to the NIS. However, it is clear that Ju-won agreed to join the NIS to have a clean record, but I think also because the NIS gave him, at that moment, a purpose in life, apparently more noble than being a gangster. The dynamic that is created when Doo-sik is introduced to Ju-won is wonderful: Min Yong-jun takes care to establish the hierarchical rules of the organization, the code names and Doo-sik, with all his usual arrogance and lack respectfully, with his hands in his pockets, he directly says his name to Ju-won and introduces himself to him informally: it's basically the biggest fuck you Doo-sik could say to Min Yong-jun without saying it outright. From here we then go back to the previous episodes about Doo-sik and why Min Yong-jun didn't trust him etc... The ending of this episode is beautiful: in the previous episode Ju-won told Ji-hee that he couldn't find his way, not only practically but, above all metaphorically, in that moment lost and without a purpose. But now he tells her that, even if he still has orientation problems, to find her he followed her heart: Ji-hee has become her reason for living, her new purpose. Wonderfully romantic, but this also applies vice versa: Ji-hee wasn't a Coffee Lady out of passion and from the way she spoke to the owner of the Café, one senses that she was betrayed many times by the promises of men who pretended to be romantic. Ju-won was the first truly romantic man she found of hers, who gave her a new lease on life. All wonderful, but also terribly sad: from previous episodes, we know that Ji-hee is destined to die in that car accident, which makes these episodes very sad.
@@cinemamosaic Small parallel: Kim Doo-sik and Lee Mi-hyun fell in love thanks to the coffee they bought from the vending machine, just as Hwang Ji-hee and Jang Ju-won fell in love thanks to the Dabang coffee. Coffee like cupid makes couples fall in love. Clearly more complicated than that, but it was a fun detail.
You’re right. Mr.Min said to Doosik just to monitor Monster if he survives or not, he did not order to save him. But at the end Doosik saved him literally, disobeying mr.Min’s order again😅
Doosik seems to do his own thing on his own terms. The Director is solely focused on his assignments and could care less about the damage it may cause.
Doosik is humanist of course he will save him and just like you said Doosik seems to do his own thing that’s why Director Min give Mihyun (bongseok mom) a mission to make Doosik fall for her so Doosik have something to comeback to and it works just like Director Min plan (the end of ep 9 when Doosik comeback for Mihyun), imagine if he not fall for Mihyun he would just disappear and no one could find him
Director asked DooSik to stay away and just watch but he actually saved him by his own decision. Maybe he watched whole thing from the sky and decided to save him instead of just watching him die.And Summer you're so pretty :)
At that time, Coffee ticket means prostitution service in Korea Now, Prostitution is illegal in Korea And Moving story includes Historical Events like KAL airplane explode in 1987 by NK, NK leader's dead before summit with South korea President, NK spies invasion and fail to arrest (disappear like Dan Cooper) Moving is really good drama and if you know Korean modern history and culture , you could enjoy.😊
Thanks for another great reactions! Always makes my day when you post another video! Appreciate the attention to detail and in depth breakdowns! Watching you guys and @cinetofu react to this series! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The main character on Condor trilogy is similar to Ju-Won. Strong but naive hero who meets shrewd and feisty woman to compliment his weakness. Dabang ladies were real but they weren't like regular escorts. It actually did start out as regular delivery service. Then men offered them to have coffee with them at their expense for "companionship". In the beginning it actually was just talking and harmless contact like holding hands. And eventually it did evolve into sexual service but difference between them and escorts is that they're not forced to provide sexual service like prostitutes. They can refuse if they don't like the men or just don't feel like it. They may even come on to you if they really like you. They were more free to do what they want.
2:23 In Korea, many coffee shops serve as decadent establishments. However, such a coffee shop is an old Korean style coffee shop. Modern coffee shops never sell prostitution.
I really thought Summer was gonna cry at one part there, and ngl, I almost did when I watched this 😅 I had to constantly remind myself that they still need to make and raise Huisoo so they'll be fine 😅
If you watched "Kingdom" then you saw Guryongpo (SeungRyong Ryu) previously. He was the main villain. You have to react to "Extreme Job" as it revived his career. If you watch it, you will understand why they put the line The fresh chicken even after dead line is in this series. The guy who got a scar in his mouth was in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo." Anyway, Summer keeps on saying the actors are adorable in romantic scenes, but she is adorable when she feels that and mentions that. If she reacted to "Crash Landing on You," I would like to watch. Yeah, Syntell, the coffee delivery service is like an escort service. The initial payment is for the lady to bring a coffee and to hang out and drink it with you (much like an escort -- initial job is to just act like a date), but if you pay extra for a "ticket" they'll get in to some sexual stuff

The Condor Trilogy is 3 books set in the historical fiction universe written by Jin Yong. He is considered the Tolkien of China. The Condor series is set between the period right before the Mongol Invasion and the end of the Yuan(Mongol) Dynasty. Genghis Kahn being a mentor like figure to the main character of the first book. You could technically do a react to the shows that are based on the books. Fox Volant which Huisoos dad is reading later is also part of that universe taking place several hundred years after the condor series.
There is a law that says Korean front doors should be made of steel. So that you can hold out in case of a fire in the hallway. So it's easier to break down walls than break down doors.

I mean, the "coffee" delivery service was a common front for an escort service until the early 90s, but that's been eradicated. Red light districts were demolished and sex work was driven out of the public eye.
Too Much Info about 다방: Da-Bang and Prostitution. In the movie, Da-Bang translates as just a coffee shop, but in fact Da-Bang is a place that sells different kinds of tea. Tea Room for direct translation of Da-Bang. Just one of the menus is coffee. This Da-Bang is divided into two types: the usual Da-Bang, which serves as the current coffee shop, and the other is the Ticket Da-Bang, which also serves as a prostitute. In Korea, all kinds of prostitution have long been illegal. However, at that time, the prohibition of prostitution was formal due to the issue of recovery and economic development after the Korean War. After the war, there were still some naturally created brothels, which, coupled with the growth of gangsters, were so big social problem that human trafficking, which kidnapped women and sold them to brothels, was often made into news and movies. Since the Joseon Kingdom era, Korea has a strong culture that values women's purity, so even after exiting the brothels, it was socially buried. So most of them gave up going back home once they were kidnapped and sold. As such, they were rated like livestock and sold back to the provinces when it became difficult to receive expensive customers after working in large cities such as Seoul. Sold to the province, they go to a lower-level brothel or work as prostitutes in Ticket Da-Bang like Jihee. That's why Jihee is so pessimistic, hates romanticist and tough
that coffee service was real thing. they deliver coffee with sexual services. It used to be common, but now it's almost gone. I heard there are still some in rural areas. But even that is hard to find. Because it's such an old way that the sexuality industry has changed in a different way now
I've been subscribed to this channel for quite some time, but I can't figure out why the number of subscribers has stagnated compared to the number of views. I hope this channel does well.
in my opinion, i am not a specialist, but i have been studying english(actually not much) and korean both, in the korean words , there are more tiny, emotional, detail words in there, english is more in logic, relation.. this is why korea is more supicious in acting,
it's the escort service back in until like 90's and NOT COMMON TODAY but I bet in very remote country side where there are especially military camps has some small towns with coffee shops with ladies.
that is kind of illegal and old culture in korea that coffee lady who belongs to(They litterally belong to owners due to debts or other reason) a cafe called "Dabang" delivers coffee and provides prostitution. we can't find it in major cities theese days as far as i know though still there're few Dabangs in countrysides not all of them do the delivery and prostitution but some of them are still known to do
prostitution is legally prohibited in SK, but law is law. there are few forms of under-the-table prostitutions, and this ticket dabang(=tea house) service in the 80s is one of them.
We're unable to play the entire video due to copyright restrictions. However we do have a patron that will allow you to watch our reaction while you watch the show using your own Disney account at the same time.

I mean, the "coffee" delivery service was a common front for an escort service until the early 90s, but that's been eradicated. Red light districts were demolished and sex work was driven out of the public eye.
아직 있어여 아직도 한번씩 범죄 피해자로 나오는 중

Less common now (maybe obsolete), but common form of prostitution in the 70-90s
in my opinion, i am not a specialist, but i have been studying english(actually not much) and korean both, in the korean words , there are more tiny, emotional, detail words in there, english is more in logic, relation.. this is why korea is more supicious in acting,
it's the escort service back in until like 90's and NOT COMMON TODAY but I bet in very remote country side where there are especially military camps has some small towns with coffee shops with ladies.
But hair salon "services" are still going strong in korea.
that is kind of illegal and old culture in korea that coffee lady who belongs to(They litterally belong to owners due to debts or other reason) a cafe called "Dabang" delivers coffee and provides prostitution.
we can't find it in major cities theese days as far as i know though
still there're few Dabangs in countrysides
not all of them do the delivery and prostitution but some of them are still known to do
prostitution is legally prohibited in SK, but law is law. there are few forms of under-the-table prostitutions, and this ticket dabang(=tea house) service in the 80s is one of them.
편집의 포인트를 잘 못잡으시는거 같아요 중요장면이 너무 빠졌어요😂
