I saw this on Saturday night. Ruthie Ann Miles was epic and funny. I would love to see her in an original musical comedy. She has so much to bring to the art form.
Her charlotte is really interesting she comes off less utterly numb than other actresses I’ve seen she seems more jaded hope we get a cast recording with theses lovely ladies! I will stand on the fact she deserves better!
I found this song boring when I was a kid. Now it’s one of my favorites. And maybe my favorite lyric in all of Sondheim is “He talks softly of his wars. And his horses, and his whores.”
I’m so happy Ruthie is back on Broadway. She’s so excellent and this delivery is unique… and PERFECT
