People joke about the United States and South Korea's messy politics but the truth is Democracy isn't easy. When everyone gets an opinion you start getting radically different ideas which makes things difficult. However, it seems we're getting to the point we want to impeach over everything. We need to readjust, unite and come together. When Democracy turns on itself our enemies win.
But democracy isn't about the ideas of ministers. The ministers represent the people of their constituency, they are supposed to be the people's voice.
I really appreciate your efforts! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Wow, SK politics are as messy as ours in the US. The acting president stopping the appointment of justices does sound like a targeted strike against their democracy.
We need Trump. Biden is a Democrat, so be very careful with your country too. Before Yoon, it was Moon Jae-in from the Democratic Party. He sent a large amount of money to North Korea, while Yoon is hostile toward North Korea. There were Chinese drones everywhere in the US before.
No the acting president did not stop the appointment, he wanted to protect the neutrality of the court by making it a bipartisan effort between both parties. The opposition refused, and demanded to appoint their selected judges or else impeach. And that's what happened.
The current political situation in South Korea is entering an era reminiscent of Cromwell's reactionary politics, marked by the brutal execution of Charles I and the subsequent plunge of England into a crisis of oppressive dictatorship by one-sided National Assembly.
Ah yes, as if impeaching a president who invoked martial law because he sees the opposition party as “anti-state forces” is even comparable to the execution of a monarch. You people really do like being dramatic, don’t you?
Um hello the wannabe dictator who tried imposing martial law? What's happening in SK is comparable to a civil war? Your bad comparison isn't even accurate as Charles I played a more role in provoking the civil war.
Cromwell gets a bad rap, but the whole apple cart was upset by the tyranny of the king, his belief in the divine right of Kings, his persecution of his political enemies in the secret courtd of the Star Chamber, culminating in his dismissing of Parliament save for the rump that rubber stamped his proclomations. Even when militarily defeated Charles believed in his right to rule and would not compromise with his captors. He was a vain, vainglorious, peacock of a man who got what he deserved. The restoration of Charles II only happened because he was willing to compromise with Cromwell's, generals especially Monck, a compromise his father refused.
The solution would be to move to a parliamentry system with power going to whoever can command the confidence of the majority of the Assembly through the appointment of the prime minister and cabinet. The powers of the president should be reduced to a constitutional one, as essentially a referee of parliament with reserved powers, e.g. inviting one party to attempt to form a government, to call for fresh elections if no party can form a stable government, to send contentious bills back to the assembly to be reconsidered-once. A parliamentry system would avoid the recent impasses in which both the majority party in the Assembly and the president believe that they have the democratic mandate.
This is gettin worst. What's next?? I hope this won't be game of thrones series.
Time for new election !!
How did ROK even get to this point? What a mess.

Yeah, there was no attempt at any oppressive dictatorship before Charles. It was a brand new thing.
Sk politics is crazy 🤣 they leading the world?
