Such a warm and inviting show. On RUclips you can find George Jones and Gene Pitney selections from the two albums they recorded together -- great stuff.
@@richardmichael1277 Yes, I know I was there for it. If I'm not wrong He's a Rebel either hit first or second on the Top Ten Chart for the Crystals. Bobby Vee had a big hit with Rubber Ball. Of course when it came to Gene songs... those were written by professionals to showcase Gene's range and were more complex.
Live and flawless right to that fantastic ending -- once tied with Roy Orbison as #1 male singer in the world (not bad company to be keeping). R.I.P. Gene; you were Heaven sent.
Love it! Can't get enough Gene Pitney.
Love Gene Pitney singing that song!!

Gene Pitney - The Greatest Singer Ever!
Gene Pitney is my all time favorite solo artist... in the world. This was a LIVE version of I'm Gonna be Strong and he freaking nailed it to the wall.
Connecticut's gift to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He also wrote, He's a Rebei and Rubber Ball, big hits in the 60's.

THE FIRST THING EVERY MORNING went to # 1 on the Country Charts.
645 Gene Pitney shows why he is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Wait to the ending of the song.

Its a shame we no longer have just plain old talented entertainment on TV.
