Day 10 in St Lucia 🇱🇨 FISH 🐟 FRIDAY & KFC in RODNEY BAY

On day 10 in St Lucia we drive around the island, starting in Canaries where we tuck into some Amazing Cassava bread before heading to the Island's capital
Castries is known for it's port that receives numerous cruisliners and this is the first place thousands of tourists first set foot on the island .
Castries is the capital city of St Lucia and there you will find The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, with its colorful murals, right by Derek Walcott Square park.
Castries also has a busy and lively Market and there you can find a variety of local arts, crafts, services and produce .....
The Market is set in an historic building built in 1891 organally as a place to sell food..... but over the years the services and goods on offer have grown, but the main trade here today seems to be souvenirs, arts and crafts.
We then move on to the northwestern coast of the island above the Castries District and there we reached the Gros Islet District on the island of Saint Lucia.
There we found a town known as Rodney Bay which is named after Admiral George Brydges Rodney who formed his fort at Pigeon Island.
Pigeon island is a national landmark in St.Lucia,
Most tourists looking for modern recreational activities and entertainment generally head to Rodney Bay.
There you find all the usual offerings of a popular holiday resort, with a strip consisting of modern bars, nightclubs and eateries.
There also dozens of hotels, rental shops, the Treasure Bay Casino and the islands two largest shopping malls.
You'll find many established outlets selling popular branded goods, whilst the Bay has countless local and international fast food outlets.
We end the day at the weekly street party in Gros Islet known as Fish Friday!

I just literally left there 2 weeks ago. My first time there. I took that same ride from the south to the north. Same roads it looks like. Small, but nice island with incredible views!
