    hello Stephanie, hello Chris, you really Do a great Job in making my day. Yesterday was one of those crazy days in the live of a mother. So today I wanted to have a quick look if there was something New on RUclips, not know Ing tat it would Film out (in?) my evening. You are out of this world you two 😄 No, it isn't Boring and I'm Not exhausted but before I could answer I had to look up a "tiny" List of words tat my little school dictionary doesn't know anymore. And now that I know what a Pavlova is (Yummie, Sounds delicious)I wanted to write a few words to my lovely beading sisters and noticed that I'm also able to write little novels. I already knew Doing it in german, but in english, that's knew. I' m anxious to See what you will Do in your next bead embroidery project with all These suggestions. I'm sure it will be gorgeous.
    Chris, you must be a great bead artist, I would love to See some of your pieces. Why are you not at FB?
    A little bit late but: Alles Liebe zum Geburtstag, Samantha!!!
    Today (13th) it's my fathers birthday, but we will celebrate it on Friday. Good that my cab is ready to wear it then.
    Okay, meanwhile it is getting After midnight and I'm a little bit tired, so I will endlich my little book here (did you Infect me over the seas? )
    look forward to ready from you xxoxx Kerstin
    hope it make any Sense what I wrote and rein me that I tell you About my adventures with writing in english on a german speaking Mobile or tab or computer 🙈

    I'm learning a lot from your tutorials and I would try to repeat them, especially this because I love turquoise and because I have some cabochon in polymer clay. I'm in italy and here there aren't many beads shops (where I live none), so I buy on line and the colors aren't very reliable, for this reason I asked you the numbers, but it's good anyway, I'll manage somehow.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry

      I understand and I am very sorry I don't have the numbers on this one for you! It was the technique that was important. I hope you can find similar colors. • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 8 лет назад

      +cathi johnson Hi Kathi :) I had to look up what peltex is haha!!! Apparently it is used in sewing for pieces that require a stiff backing like a purse or sewn wallet. (I am only decent at sewing beads and have never met a sewing machine except in home economics class in junior high school lol) Sounds like you could probably use it for bead backing. I have obviously never used it but I don't see why it couldn't be used instead of Lacy's Stiff Stuff. Some beaders use stiff felt for their backing so give it a try with the Mother Earth Pendant as that tutorial goes through all the layers of backing etc.

  • @scarlettotara1
    @scarlettotara1 8 лет назад

    I love your tutorials! I would like to know how to figure out how many beads I would need to circle the cabochon? Using the same size is easy but you've used 3 different sizes around the edge. How can did you figure this out?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 8 лет назад

      +scarlettotara1 Hi Scarlettotara! I didn't count the number of beads around. I used 2 bead backstitch for all three rows and adjusted the end beads if needed. I go through the entire process on the Mother Earth Pendant Tutorial so take a look at that one - it will explain everything :)

    G'Day My Wonderful "Talent Master of the Beads", I am back again and Just to make Kerstin's day, yes another novel to be scripted by yours truly. You may need a thermos full of hot coffee to keep you a wake Stephanie (it will save you from getting up and down all the time!. There are two comments that are competing with each other to go first... so I will start with the one that made me choke on my coffee... you make a large number of design in many different colours and then as you move along producing videos you then "UNDO" most of them!!!!!!! All that "beautiful-out-of-this-world-fabulous-chic-masterly-crafted-gorgeous pieces of bead work you don't sell it or even give it as gifts. If I asked hands up who would buy an "Stephanie Original" there would be a stampede to your stall. It must be all that sub zero freezing cold zone my little polar bear lives in that makes you do such a strange thing!. It would be like me embroidering one of my dog's, no make that 94% of my dog portraits just to show how I sew them or even to do it with my Hardanger!! Oh my poor wonderful "Master of the Beads" your little grasshopper is in a state of shock (I need a large slice of Pavlova, a couple of Chocolate Eclairs and a large amount of coffee to bring my little grey cells back to earth again at just the thought of doing so!!!!! Now for the second thing...... you are gifted in your beading and in the way you present it...... that's why you are the "Master of the Beads" in our little Temple of the Divine Beads. You have sooooooo many little grasshoppers that await your words of wisdom and guidance all around the world!!!! Embrace your talent! the heavens have gifted it to you so own it and share it. Have an idea about the earrings and dealing with the back. See what you think.... complete the cabochon side and then bead the backing in any way you want and then glue them together as you would normally do and then finish off by doing the edging. Not sure if this would work but my little grey cells were only half charged when I thought of it. If I may make a suggestion (hope that I'm not over stepping the line by doing so but I can't help it as it is my Embroidery Muse that's suggesting it) when working with knots (which a not used in general needlework ) they are hidden away. When you go to use a knot in cab work, bury it on top within the beads. You can stick it tiny pin size dab of glue to hold it. Then run your needle along and through other beads till you reach your starting point then proceed with your edging. Finish off your work in the reverse to how you started. This will take care of those nasty knitty knots showing on your backing. Also our friend the colour Black is very good as it goes very well with any dark colour (or light as it makes light colours pop and sparkle). So if you are using black thread then back it with black.....it will hide all those horrid little mistakes and over sized stitches. Use white backing with white thread. Love the way in which you have done this cabochon with those bicone edges and the colours a beautiful. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but yesterday (11th ) was Samantha's birthday so thing s were a little crazy. Well now that I have put you nearly to sleep I will now end this novel my little polar bear. Oh nearly forgot thank you for your kind and wonderful words and isn't it great to find some one who thinks we are so comic and I wonder if any one else out in the air waves reads us..... hope they do as I love to bring sunshine into people's rainy days.....Blessings XXXXXOOOOO

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 8 лет назад

      +Chris Phillips Hahahaha!!!!!! I am almost crying I am laughing so hard. This is why my dear Chris: RUclips put your comment in the "likely spam" folder awaiting my approval!!!! I think your novel was a bit prolix for the powers that be in the land of RUclips to understand what to do with it! I so love you sweetie - you always make my day!
      As for dismantling my pieces: I often take apart the tutorial projects otherwise I would be in "bead debt" more than I am already!!! I have a certain amount of pieces that I make for myself but most are reduced, reused, and recycled!!! LOL Often my finished pieces disappear somehow (hmm...after a friend leaves from a visit) I'm beginning to see a pattern here :) Remember the video where I hold up 30 plus flat spiral bracelets? They are ready to be new and fun pieces lol I had many, many Swarovski bicones just sitting in my Treasure Chest and as many 6mm fire polished beads wrapped up in those bracelets! So now I have more beads to work with!! I did make myself a Crazy For Pearls Necklace (ala Victorian Chic) and I always keep my brick stitch earrings when I don't break a bead! The rings also! Oh and Hematie Heaven Series! I totally agree with you about the backing for cabs etc. but when I make a tutorial I have to use light colors and dark thread so my lovlies can see what the teacher is doing! Also, I make so many incarnations of a piece before I'm happy that by the time I'm done it can look a bit ragged lol!!! I did remake the Turquoise necklace for myself :) A little birdie whispered in my ear that I should re-do the piece for the tut but by then I was exhausted (and out of the backing) and didn't want to make another! I should listen to the birds LOL The black cab I have kept for moi as it was done off camera. I am not sure about hiding the knots in the front. Hmm.....maybe but I haven't seen it done in such a way. A good suggestion!!! I will give it a try on the materpieces we will be making :)
      The earrings will be a challenge. You have a good idea, but will they be heavy with all those beads? I will give it a try and see how it goes! So now this response will probably end up in your spam folder awaiting approval LOL
      A very, very, very, Happy Birthday to your lovely daughter! I know you had a lovely day :) Was there a Pavlova involved?

      +Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry G'Day My Fellow Scribe of Novels, I think that it is a language problem with us Aussies. It's like when our actors become hot items for TV and Moves in the Great US of A..... they have to learn the American twang as nobody can understand their Aussie accent's. I didn't think that You Tube understands my wicked little mannerisms and spelling eg It doesn't like the word c-o-l-o-U-r and red lines it as it likes c-o-l-O-R as well as other worlds that don't line up with your funny way of spelling. It understands "your lovely novels" and I find them waiting for my little ray of sunshine read. I remembered that along time ago (before I got serious a bout beading) that I watch some videos by Ann Benson. I've just gone back and watched her video ...Beading Embroidery Essentials, section 3 Professional Finishing Techniques, she shows and talks about knots e.t.c. It may help with what to do about those little knitty knots. Thank you so much for the birthday wishes for Samantha, it made her feel very special and brought a" big happy smile to her face" (some thing that we don't see often). After these great tomes we have between us, poor Kerstin will be in urgent need of one of my relaxation odes..... she will be exhausted !!!!!!!!. G'Day Kerstin I hope we didn't bore or exhaust you too much but sometimes we just get lost in our thoughts or is it because "we just love to talk"!!!!1 Nearly forgot..... no Pavlova... Samantha doesn't eat it and I am the only in the family that does so may be I should live next door to you and then we could share one every now and then while we bead lol..........

      +Chris Phillips Hi Chris! Ann Benson tutorials and her website (Beads East) is one of the ways I learned about bead embroidery. I love her... she has such a soothing voice. I ordered one of the kits from her website quite a while ago but haven't started it yet. It is a bead embroidered bracelet but not cabochons - it uses rivolis, seed beads, and sequins. I will make it one day and post it for you. RUclips is in a world of its own! If some technical glitch happens and a video doesn't post (when its not my fault of course) I can't do a thing about it. Or when my video is stuck at 95% processing and stays there all night lol :) I don't know why lines appear through your colourful spelling (my computer just tried to auto correct colourful to colorful LOL) I guess British English got lost over the years here in the US! I am so glad we all speak the universal language of artists :) Kerstin should be fast asleep by the time I finish so she will get a good rest and be ready for novel reading tomorrow! Oh and yes, you should live next door to me as you keep me on my beading and writing toes and you're a better cook than I am.....love and light my dear friend XOXO

You could also go green which is its opposite but make sure the green is in a similar tone. Not a Christmas green but a muted green. I like mixing warm and cool tones. You are already using gold as one of your colors so pick a dark cool color. I have used deep purple/blue, gold and burgundy( same as oxblood) together. I knitted my hubby a scarf using oxblood, navy and gold yearn and he loved it💕 Hope this helps or at least gets you thinking about colors❤️❤️❤️

      +Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry thank you both for your lovely comments. I'm glad you let joining me your conversation. You are right my english isn'nt too bad ;) but with these three words I 've learned at school twenty years ago I could never write such pictorially comments as yours. It takes so much time to search and find these few words in my little grey cells that I would loose the connection to your topic and my family would be uncared-for hihi.
      Well I'll keep reading, laughing and dreaming with you (and somtimes leaving a little note) and whenever you write your "little novels" keep in mind that there is someone far away with a bright smile in his face by reading it. So thank you for given me that that smile and have a wonderful week ♡♥♡:)
