Both are heart wrenching decisions but at least one of them doesn't ruin and tarnish Anils life and family. This is the 50's/60's the culture around alone would scare ppl from being gay, not to mention all of this family.

I feel sad both for Princess Anin and Lady Pin, both are heartbroken no one is more broken than the other. Both are suffering, but it is sad that seems like everyone is trying to point finger to Lady Pin, and make her sadness smaller compare to what Princess Anin feels. For me when Lady Pin says that she is accepting of her situation and take it as a Karma. This only shows how much of the beliefs towards monarchy she has been ingrained with. I read somewhere that beliefs on monarchy family is almost inseparable from the Thai "Spiritism-Brahmanism-Buddhism" religious system. This belief includes the idea of comparing the king to a deity. It has always been mentioned/showed all throughout the series how Lady Pin view the Princess as higher than herself. Since that was what taught to her by Aunt Patt, that she should not "bring the heavens down low". But anyways, I know people keep saying that Princess Anin doesn't care about her title as a princess, she even suggested she will relinquish her title. But this relinquishing her title, has a process, not only does she need to request the relinquishing her title formally she will have to state the reason of doing so. And once it has been done this will be announce during that time through something like a gazette, that can be read by the public. So it's like announcing to everyone that she is in fact resigning from her title because she want's to be with Lady Pin, everything she has will be confiscated properties, money, and won't be allowed to see her family, and the fact that she will bring shame to her family name. It will not only affect her and Lady Pin, it will affect everyone. So yeah Lady Pin might be weak to succumb to her Aunt, but for me she has no other choice, she was cornered already. And she won't be able to live well knowing she brought shame to everyone, to the people who had taken care of her, maybe we don't see the reason why does she keeps on that "gratitude" attitude, but she has mentioned it before if not for her Aunt and Sawetawarit family, she doesn't know how she will survive on her own. If it's in today society, yeah having toxic relatives let's just cut them off, even though we will look ungrateful. I read the books and found Pin to have an unhealthy, selfish martyr syndrome and also to be ridiculously jealous. None of that is selfless behavior. It’s a personality that thrives on being pitiful and having passive control. I could never see what Anin saw in Pin except for the great sex they had - which you don’t see in the series. Pin frustrates the hell out of me. Poor Anin missed out on two other better choices of lovers.

Pin did her best in whatever possible way to protect her love she was also ready to marry kuea even after knowing his truth coz her turning down the marriage suddenly without any solid proof n evidence will not only bring trouble n disgrace to aunty Pad but even Anil parents will face the consequences so the best things she thinks she can do is sacrifice herself so that no one will suffer for her..& it's really sad that Pin thinks n care about everyone n the palace but no one was even interested or care to understand her even once😢

I read the books and found Pin to have an unhealthy, selfish martyr syndrome and also to be ridiculously jealous. None of that is selfless behavior. It’s a personality that thrives on being pitiful and having passive control. I could never see what Anin saw in Pin except for the great sex they had - which you don’t see in the series. Pin frustrates the hell out of me. Poor Anin missed out on two other better choices of lovers.

@@jesie5792Anin is not egoistic at all. She is imperfect but she did everything for Pin. She never gave up even when she didn't have a choice. She keeps trying everything. I used to be a people pleaser like Pin, and why wouldn't Anin be frustrated with it? Pin made this decision to please everyone and neglect herself. It's not a behavior to be understood. It's a behavior to be condemned. People pleasing is the worst thing you ever could do yourself. Pin is being unfair there. She is still marrying Kuea and still wants Anin in her life. She is not letting her go. Why can't she stop being jealous or possessive? She doesn't have that right anymore.
