Finidi didn't need to be looking for who to blame. A leader takes responsibility always.
He's not always good at interviews. No technical answer, he talks straight like he doesn't care if the roof will fall. A good coach is always diplomatic in responding to any answer thrown to him.

NFF knew very well that he won't dance to their tone of corruption nor comprising with their dubious acts. As a Coach, he worked with the likes of Oshimen, Samuel, Senior Man etc and they won world Cup. It would have been a reunion for these guys to work together in resumption for what they've achieved before but rather NFF gave it to Finidi who can be easily manipulated and thereby leading to " FINIDI FINISHED NIGERIA 🇳🇬 " Everything is FINISHED in Nigeria but God has not yet Finish with those that put their Trust in Him. All is well.

Finidi is not yet ready for a big team. The highest position he had prior to the Super Eagles job was coaching a junior team of a lowly rated team in Spain. He should never have been appointed. His confidence level is pretty low, too.

I feel that the pain of failure would have made him to work harder to win the remaining matches. A new coach might not perform magic to win the remaining matches given the shortness of time before the matches. We must learn to trust our own coaches, allow them to learn from their mistakes and encourage them to grow. Many African countries have long done away with foreign coaches.

Victor Osimehn should be banned from the team for insulting the coach. With his behaviour lately I don't expect Chelsea or any other top team in Europe to sign him any longer.

I should add that African football has changed. There are no easy matches anymore. Everyone can lose. We can say that certain nations are not ready for a WC appearance but that does not mean that they cannot upset the typically strong teams.
I get the part of Finidi not taking responsibilities, if the comments he made were true, then it is clear. But saying Osihmen overreacted is way out of point. If you never try a shoe on before, you don't get to know how fitting, tight or the kind of pain it may cause. Imagine over 250million Nigerian soiling your name. Have you thought about his mental health? Have you thought about what that kind of comment might have on his career (if it was true).

We have Victor Boniface He kept him on the bench against south Africa and come in as a Substitute against Benin after a goal down. He even removed Iwobi who was only creative player we had in that game and kept Indidi until 80 minutes knowing that Indidi was the reason for all the pressure we had. Good for him
