FIVE DAYS AND COUNTING UNTIL WE ARRIVE IN AVON! CAN'T WAIT!! Love watching your drone vids of the OBX!
When ever we need an OBX fix in between our vacations there, we watch them! Plan on fishing the Cape while we are there. Thank You!

We stayed in Avon over Labor Day and following week. Daughter was married on the Beach. Big part of her growing up ! She has been to Outer Banks 11 times and we live in Central Illinois !

@@brianfischer149 My Dad, Gustaf P Hultman, was the 1st NPS-CHNS park ranger hired on back in ~ 52 or 53. Our family moved into the Lighthouse Keeper's Qtrs at that time. The Double Keepers' Qtrs bldg was just to the west of the Keeper's Qtrs. CH Light was probably 100 yds or less (didn't think to measure the distance back when I was < 7 yo...........8-)....) directly ESE from the house. The Light was a hell of a playground for my 2 younger brothers & me................ Climbed those 208 cast-iron steps many, many times. My parents decided they wanted me to start 1st grade in Manteo Elem School & not in Buxton school. So, off we go to Manteo prior to my start in 1st grade in fall 54........... That short period of time we lived in the Keeper's Qtrs- 1 time a Navy or Marine 'copter landed in our front yard........... Damn, that thing was LOUD!!!........ Then, a USN carrier-based fighter jet ran out of fuel, pilot put the belly down on the beach sand N of CHL (Cape Hatteras LIght)......... Dad piled us all into an NPS Jeep & off we go northward up NC 12, then do the Desert Rats thing across the sand & dunes to where the plane was............ Can't remember the dates.............. Loved every minute of it all........... Best book of my youth- Taffy of Torpedo Junction.......... Dad surf-casting for bluefish in the shadow of CHL, us eating up the fruits of his labor.......... helping mother scale the fish w/o too much of our blood in the mix......... Brings tears to my eyes now, thinking again of it all.......... experienced our 1st hurricane there in the Keeper's Qtrs. Mother had buckets & pots scattered around the house catching H2O dripping in during the storm.......... I had been telling ppl for yrs that that storm was Hazel. Ooooo, not right, Wiki shows Hazel in 53 not coming close to the OBks at all....... Upon further review, it had have been Barbara Aug 13-14 in 53. More in a later post................

Great video but I'm confused. Is it or is it not to fly a drone over the national seashore?

Not sure I understand your question. Do you fly drones?

Sorry. I left out a word. Yes, I fly a drone. My question was, is it illegal or restricted to fly a drone over the National seashore? Thanks.

Easy answer, who controls the airspace? NPS or FAA. There are no TFR's nor NFZ's.
Boundaries are important. You have to know where the NPS property starts and ends.

So they have the point closed off to fishermen? What's up with that?
