  • Eales played his last test match on 01.09.2001 at The Olympic Stadium, in a Bledisloe Cup Match against the All Blacks of New Zealand. Some good footballers in these sides, the great Jonah Lomu was on the park, Toutai Kefu who ends up stealing the show. John Eales friends and poet extraordinaire delivers a tribute to the great man. Quality is a bit dodgy but the rolling stops before the game. I did have to cut out quite a bit of Copyright material, well the stuff that gets noticed early anyway, the whole box and dice is copyright material.

1:54:36 Toutai Kefu scored the match winning try to ensure the Tri Nations Title remained on Aussie Soil and send off retiring Wallabies Captain John Eales a winner in his last test match for Australia. 29-26 it finished.

And with the Bledisloe Cup retained and safe for another year for the Wallabies and with one game left to play in the 2001 Tri-Nations Tournament the Wallabies trail the All Blacks by 1 points and a win against New Zealand 🇳🇿 in Sydney will guarantee The Wallabies Back to Back Tri Nations Champions for the first time in their history.
