They’re really good together, aren’t they!! I was stoked when those two cages turned up together in both decks! Now I just have to get rid of the smell 😂

I'm here in New Zealand and I've decided I'm doing the same as you with celebrating Samhain/Halloween the same as those in the northern hemisphere this year for pretty much the same reasons. It makes sense to me because the creative consciousness in larger numbers will be focused on these things at this time so it feels like the rituals will have more power behind them 👻 good luck for yours!
For the smoke smell, try laying them out individually in bright sun, if possible with as much breeze as you can without them blowing away. Then in a deep bowl spread them around the sides in a circle. In the middle of the bowl, in the middle of the cards, take a little mesh or mesh-like bag with non-used coffee grinds mixed with peppermint essential oils and put it there. Put a lid on top and keep them in there for as much time as you can. The main thing is that the bag (mainly the oil) doesn't touch the cards so check on it each day or so. Hope this makes sense and helps 🤞☺️
P.s I damn well would of done the same thing for the baby turtle, especially in that kind of intense timing and environment etc, i understand not stepping in aswell but if i was in your situation i would hands down do the same 🐢

(I like D the best) As far as the smell on the card deck? Basically the coffee and the dryer sheet are about the best choices other than a box of baking soda opened in a container with the cards spread out around in same container for a couple of weeks. (I have used this before and it works well, not as fast but still works!) Love the video off to look for the books you have introduced us to! Love the decks you have picked up as well~

Coffee is the best thing to neutralize smells. When you have smelly hands, rubbing them with ground coffee tends to work. So maybe putting the deck in ground coffee would work?

And I could remove a bad smell with a powder which probably is the same as baking soda. No guarantee, but it helped. There are tutorials how to remove cigarette smell from books which may be similar and helpful. Good luck 🤞 🍀

Great video as always! Thanks for sharing. To get rid of the smell, try wiping the cards down (front and back) gently with a scented dryer sheet, then place cards in a sunny window for a couple of days. If that doesn't work (it should) but if it doesnt, put the cards in baking soda and take them out when the smell is gone (this could take a couple days or a couple weeks depending on how bad the smell is. : )

Ooh I really love the new Healing Cards with those blue edges. So pretty. Not sure how I feel about it without the borders though. It looks a little more illustrated, while the old one always feel like frescos or hieroglyphs or something equally as earthy. Crazy how the borders can change the vibe of an image. Not sure how I feel but there is really no way to know without having it in person. I already have the old one though and it’s still in great condition so I have no excuse to buy this version. Dang it 😣😅. Nice upgrades though!
Absolutely!! Borders can make a huge difference in the vibes of the deck 🥰 I don’t have the old edition anymore so I can’t really compare them but this new one feels very powerful!!

For the cigarette smell, I did this to a used book once and it worked pretty well - I placed it in a sealed plastic bag with some dry, unused coffee grounds. Then I put the bag in the freezer for 48 hours. The coffee smell lingered for a couple of days, but it dissapated pretty soon after and the book was no longer stinky.
