Harmonica is spot on!. Muted trumpet was pretty good in its mid range. During While My Guitar Gently Weeps, it would be cool to use the bend buttons to make the guitar weep. Flute is perfect and damn the Flugel Horn was pretty convincing. Hell they are all great.
Breath control really makes a difference in the expression of the sounds - including the violin. Finally, horns and harmonica that are more than just touch and pressure sensitive, but actually expressive. It's about time ROLAND! Great demos.
That was an excellent demonstration of the instrument's potential. The upgraded sounds are great whether they sound very close to the real thing (I agree that the muted trumpet is superb. The cello sounds great, too.) or just good approximations (that still sound convincing and fun). If Roland's development of the Aerophone is anything like what they did with their electronic drums and keyboards, this instrument will keep getting better. Thanks!
Alistair has such a good time playing. It’s truly infectious! Just bought an Aerophone Go off of EBay. Hasn’t arrived yet. I play Tenor, Alto, Soprano , but my dogs won’t let me practice without chiming in… cute, but distracting…
Wow it's so cool! Amazed at the realism, especially the muted trumpet, there is even a rattle out of the bell. Can't wait to get mine and I want one of each 😁

Whow, fantastic how these different instruments can sound on one single, electronic, device. Couldn‘t find any unreal, I‘am really surprised. The Guitar maybe a little bit funny, but also not to bad to listen to. It is more a brain thing when watching. An applause is well deserved, Brian.
Great sampling. Just got mine will be trying it today. I do feel limited with sounds. I have a ewi 5000 that has midi capabilities which leads up to thousands of sounds. So I do hope it is up to par.
The faces were the best part. This may be the future of wind instruments but it has a way to go yet before they completely eliminate the kazoo type sounds at the edges of notes. It's getting closer though.
While My guitar Gently Weeps.... Mmmm, well played! Not sure on what sounded the most real or not, and of course it has to do with technique as well as EQ and a bunch of neat settings. I'm impressed enough as it is from the possibilities of the device, for practicing purposes at the very least.
There is such thing as most real. There is new real. Some of the new real, also has a group of sounds that do their best to imitate, to varying degrees of success, the old real sounds. The Yamaha DX7 keyboard of several decades ago broke the mold, and created a a whole new real genre of soundands and a whole new industry of digital music. Took the world by a storm. Every musician had to have one. Don't get me wrong, in the right hands, the saxophones of the 1930' 40's sound like gold, if gold could make a sound ... or the sound of an acoustic grand piano. The are getting closer and closer with every computer advance. Long live music. Without this drug, the world would be even more crazy than it already is. :)
Great song choices. All of them sounded pretty good, except for maybe the guitar at the end. Still I enjoyed all of the performances. Did you use the karaoke feature with the audio tracks you picked out for your medley?
Anyone know if there is there a CD with all of these famous songs with a book containing written solos to play along? Would love to learn to play these!!
I would like to know how you managed to record the audio while listening to the sound coming from the aerophone with your headphones - with no delay of course -, could you briefly explain it? That being said, great job as usual!
I plugged the aerophone into my computer's audio interface using the quarter inch output. So I was able to play along with the instrumental tracks and record my aerophone at the same time through my computer.
hola alguien me puede decir como se llama la melo dia que esta tocando el maestro con el tono flugelhorn aproximadamente en el 1:31 min del video. Gracias
Very awesome video! I quite liked the Flugelhorn and muted trumpet sound. The tune you played using the Flugelhorn sounds really familiar but I can't put my finger on it so if anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.
I have a couple of questions. Can I play the Aerophone on its own without connecting it to a computer? Can I connect the Aerophone directly to an amplifier?
hi , I just bought one and enjoying the things I can do with it , I only have it for 3 days ,but it maybe faulty ,,where the grey body meets the black barrel [before the mouthpiece ] it seems to move from side to side just a little bit ,is this the same with all AE-05 GO ,, as im thinking of sending it back ,, can anyone help ,, thanks
Yes...Put Some Epoxy...on it...Do one side at a time...Then A day later do the other side....fix it so No one knows any different...If you send it back all they do is Give you another one...if you have insurance on it...I hope you also realize...That is a Molded Plastic..it is what it is...im going to Re - Design Mine...With Carbon fiber..And A bigger Speaker...
That is pretty cool. I think the muted trumpet sounded the most realistic, none are anywhere near as good as the real versions of the instruments, but I like the violin sound. What was the song you were playing with the Fugelhorn? Sounded familiar to me but couldn't remember what it was.
I have a question.I really love saxophone but i live in a small apartment with neighbours all around me so it would make practice very difficult. My question is can you learn to play saxophone on a Aerophone like this one since it has a real saxophone mouthpiece and reed.
Joey, the Roland AE10 doesn’t have a reed. You’d have to buy a Venova (see “Better Sax review), which has Soprano type mouthpiece w. a synthetic reed. Not a good review of it! The AE10 uses your breath, blowing on two sensors. An, even more realistic, non-reed mouthpiece is on the EWI, where you can bite down on it-more realistic, I suppose!
AE-10 But have a look for AE-20, and AE-30 models as well, "if budget permits." This is awesome, and I love his playing, and the tones. But the other two are newer, and offer *even more.* If you havn't already got one. Hope this helps.

Oops, wrong thread, but this is great, too!
Appreciates Roland's innovative instrument !!!
Thanks for the great examples of acoustic instrument sounds. I'm looking to upgrade my old WX-11 and the AE-10 is mighty tempting.
Appreciated the tour!
I appreciate it thanks!

Fantastic sound and a very talented musician.
Best demo video out there. Sold! I ordered mine this morning.
Very nice demo ! I have been impressed by the muted trumpet / Miles Davis style ! Great work ! 🎷🎻🎹 🎺
Thank you! Yes that trumpet sound has a lot of expression to it!

Take a bow, sir. This is a fantastic demo! Which Aerophone is this, please?

Very inspiring. I am starting playing the Aerophone AE 05, you made me become more inspired to practice, play and cover more songs. Thank you!
Very cool! Have fun playing it!
Great playing
Ure choice of song for vocal is fantastic hahaha! thx for sharing
Saxophone and Flugel Horn are the best !
Wow, awesome. Loved the Flugelhorn part specially. I think you've mastered the the natural Violin and Guitar well. Most others can't.
Muy bueno! Me encanta! Sinceramente me fascinó el sonido de la guitarra! Muchísimas gracias! Saludos de Argentina!
Dude you just got me to get one for my sis and I for Christmas> That's how a demo is done. Great Playing
excellent, thanks for the demonstration, the background music is play back? Where can I get them?
Could you show more sounds such as the bari sax and cello?
Awesome
This is actually amazing Brian! Please keep up the good work. You’re probably one of the main reason I play saxophone.
“¡Qué Linda interpretación,varios intrumentos, Felicitaciones🌷🌷 Brians Thing.Me gusto la guitarra 🌷🎷👏👏!"

This may have convinced me to buy one

Should be interesting to see how the playing action is between the two instruments. Yes having more sounds is always a plus!
good job man. and good job roland
I love the sounds! Can you double up different sounds like trumpet trombone saxophone all together at the same time?

the bugelhorn is amazing

Flugelhorn sounds great
I wanted to decide between
Venovo & nuSax
and now I found THIS ✌
JUST GREAT 👍
the Laughing Third 😄
Nice playing!!! What did you play before this instrument? How similar is the fingering to it?
are you playing tones you created? Not many of the tones I get on my Ae 30 sound as good as yours? Do you offer any lessons ?
The flugelhorn was impressive. I know you played these through an external reverb. Any notes on what you used?
All !
nice sound Brian as always!!! ;)
The synth sounded sick
wow fantastic !
Amazing
My favorite was Synth... I really need a cover of "Bubble Shuffle" by Larry Carlton with that in my life.
I love this
The Casio Pt-80 for old rich people...
wow i want a aerophone
Magnific video l like all songs.

Hi brian love your videos. What is the 3rd song please thx a lot
Chuck mangione- feels so good. It's a classic
Excellent choice of songs!
Thanks!!!
Great song choices! Are these just the stock sounds? Really making me want to get one even more...

I heard someone, I think, play the cello voice on it, it sounded convincing.
Just amazing😍😍
I will never get this out of my head. Perlman must be weeping.
Where can I download more voices ?

Did you find that the "acoustic bass" sound 076 was very faint even when one blows hard?
No bagpipes?
Cool. What kind of speaker are you running it through?
I ran it through my audio interface into my computer. You can plug the aerophone into any type of speaker.

Feels so good by Chuck Magioni, I hope I didn't spell his name wrong
Jonah Wagner: Close-Chuck Mangione
Is it possible to get a piano sound? Possibly by hooking up to a computer or Iphone?
So you can play the flute but still use a saxophone mouthpiece. I like that
Modern technology! 😁
Where can I found the score of last christmas please?
Nice! What is the titel of the song you played with 'violin'?
Shindlerlist
if your party dont have this songs dont invite me please.
you make me want one this is awesome!!!!
😃😃
These things are cool and what key are they in
You can program it to play in any key in the settings
Could you please send along the link for the backing tracts you used to make this and other videos?
What is the name of the song with the flugelhorn?
Where can one obtain good backing tracks of say the “America Song Book”?
Sweet mechanism brother
Awesome!!!!!!
It would be amazing if you could load up lyrics for the vocal setting... That thing sounds a ton better than my voice.
I have a couple of questions.
Can I play the Aerophone on its own without connecting it to a computer?
Can I connect the Aerophone directly to an amplifier?
Yes. It has a built-in speaker, a headphone jack and a USB port.
Great sounds! Where can I find these playbacks?
Nice, but can it do real dynamic contrasts?
great guy
