@MrCadeRay he isn't a good ninja. He acts more like a ronin than a ninja, basically a rude samurai after zabuza he isn't really sneaky he fights upfront
@@XxstrawmanxX more of a writers decision. Remember when he was a prank master & able to out run chuunin as a NONE ninja? That's actual ninja shit, we just didn't see it used pretty much after wave. Again not him not having the skills, but simply the writer completely dropping that aspect. Shit he was able to sneak in the Hokage tower, steal the forbidden scroll and then knocked out hiruzen by his jutsu (which if was a real mission he could've killed him before leaving). Look at the chuunin exams. It's literally about showing off to other villages & countries. And it's tournament style. The anime itself was never actually about traditional "ninja" but if it was Naruto has the skills & capabilities to succeed as we the audience seen examples of it
