What a fine cast as usual. To address Kelseys ? Trip knitting is always welcome. All kitting is. And a continual learning experience giving opportunity to connect with and share with so many wonderful people. I believe that the most profound knitting for me though has been the comfort that knitting became for me. When faced with my life's most challenging time, knitting became a friend. A solitary, constructive even meditative activity. One that is sometimes needed, that is not invasive, yet supports one while finding the strength and calm to move forward in a more positive frame of mind.
Great job on the new intro! I love that it highlights your new brick and mortar storefront. Also, I just received the totes that were recently restocked. I couldn’t control myself and bought 2. They are beautiful and well-worth the money. ❤
Love the new intro! Your podcast is like a dose of sunshine on this rainy morning. I’m hoping to get down to visit your shop this fall before the snow flies. ❤❤
What a wonderful podcast! I am always inspired to try new yarns and projects. I also loved Emma’s plan to bring those necessary but least pleasurable tasks to do when joining a friend to knit!
I love Kelsey's portion on travel projects! I like to make travel socks. Early this year, I got to visit my best friend in Hawaii for the first time in 6 years. I started crocheting some socks on the plane, I restarted them in a different pattern during our down time over the week I was there, and I started all over with the same yarn in a knit pattern after I got home. But they will forever be my "Hawaii Socks" and remind me of that special vacation. 😊
Great podcast again! Can you give us a tour of the yarn area in your shop and tell us what yarn is behind you in the podcast? Great visuals compared to photos on webpage.. love the variety of the podcasts
A really great episode. Maggie's vest is superb and really suits her. The bags and the blankets are beautiful and are a testimony to the craftsmanship of the people that make them. The new West Yorkshire Spinners yarn looks squishy, I shall be looking out for it. Great contributions from Kelsey and Emma. 🇬🇧
Maggie’s vest, and Corrine’s and Emma’s sweaters are gorgeous. Like Kelsey, I associate project with trips. I recently went to NZ and knit the Kanapu sweater so I could knit an NZ design in NZ. As I had two long flights and lots of car time, it was perfect. I also picked up a beautiful possum merino blend local yarn. Thanks for all the inspiration!
Another great podcast. Love seeing the swatches knit up for the new yarn. Hope the lower temps have surrounded Kelsey! And Emma, you go girl with a Fair Isle knit every year for Rhinebeck!
Maggie, your vest is stunning! And Corrine, the cowl looks beautiful - what a sweet gift! I enjoyed Kelsey’s segment, and also have knits that I have made on trips that bring fond memories when I wear them. Thanks for another great shopcast ladies!
As always a great podcast thank you. I’m drooling over the Harris tweed totes I hope you always have them available. So enjoyed Kelsey’s segment and yes like her, I associate certain travel knitting projects with vacation memories. Souvenir yarn is precious. Planning now for a NH/VT trip centered with a visit to your shop. Maggie the vest is beautiful!
I love the idea of supporting the Irish hand weavers. The blankets look lovely and the colors are enticing. Thank you for making these gorgeous hand made pieces available to us 💜🧡
Hope to see you at the shop on Friday then at Millapaluzza and the Sheep and Wool Festival on Saturday! We are staying at Peg’s cottage on the farm…whooohoooo! Can’t wait!!
I love Emma's idea to share the boring task when a fried is around. Thanks to all the contributors ! Thanks to Kim for the yoga, and thanks for the pictures of lovely confections at the end. Has anyone heared from Rachel ?
Love my new tote!! So much is happening now that Fall has arrived here in New Hampshire. I'm gobsmacked by all the beautiful projects shown. Lush colors! And, oh my, the blankets are coming!!!! I'm enjoying the KAL and even with 2 major tinks, my Victory Cardigan is a pleasure to knit. Learning a lot from it! Thank you for a great Shopcast. ❤
That vest wast worth the time in-vest-ment for sure. Soooo pretty. Well done Maggie. Loving everyone's new KAL and Rheinbeck sweaters. Feast for the eyes. Thanks for all the sharing.
Kelsey, I am watching this episode in a San Antonio hotel while knitting a sock. I cast on a Christmas sock (WYS) in the airport. When I travel, I always bring a project (usually the portable sock). If I can manage it, I try to visit a yarn shop. The journey to a yarn shop introduces me to new spaces in the area I visit.
I do so enjoy the shopcasts, especially because knitting is shared in reality, with the triumphs, the oopsies, the fun, the inspiration. At the moment, I am pretty chuffed with the Felix pulli. In years gone by I’ve knit a couple of sweaters following the instructions with a vengeance. But bodies are unique and, with the encouragement of the TWT team, I’ve gotten the courage to be creative. WooHoo!! Thank you so much! And Kelsey, I love to dream and knit with yarn from places I’ve been and places I’ll go. 😊
Maggie - love your vest!! Definetly my fav colors!! Corrine - your cowl, knit by Renee, is beautiful! What an awesome gift! Enjoy it! Emma - OMG! Your J & S colorwork sweater is Awesome!! I hope you finish in time for Rhinebeck! Just another great episode! Thanks so much!
Always love the podcast ❤. Maggie the Vest came out so beautifully. You are an amazing. Who is next in Mouche and Friends ❤ I kind of got addicted to the animals. 😊. Corrine you sweater is looking beautiful ❤ have fun at Rhinebeck for sure. Always enjoy all the segments and shopping at the WT.
I had to jump in and tell you how much I love the blue herringbone with navy (with zipper). It's my second. I will be ordering the black and grey bags. They are so well made. I should gift them but... The dust bag is a plus. I am looking forward to receiving the Shetland annual. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work! Carol P. From Wisconsin
My blue Harris Tweed carry all arrived on Thursday. The photos and seeing it in your videos just doesn’t do justice to how beautiful the fabric. I am going to enjoy using this bag for years to come. Please tell Kelsey that I am a traveler who knits while traveling, and who enjoys visiting yarn shops wherever I travel. I now also take a Turkish spindle spinning project with me, which inspired many conversations with people who have not seen spinning or a spindle before. Please pass this on to Corinne: last May I was spinning outside of my hotel in Yorkshire, and met both the emeritus chairman of the board of the big Finnish yarn company (whose name I don’t remember) and Peter Longbottom, the chair of West Yorkshire Spinners, when they stopped to ask me about my spinning. I told Peter that I love the Signature 4-Ply, and that I got it from The Woolly Thistle. He said yours was one of his favorite accounts. Just wanted you to know. Thanks for a delightful episode. You kept me company while I finally plied the singles I was spinning that day in Yorkshire. harpingJanet
The cowl is beautiful and I am so impressed with Maggie’s vest! So many lovely new products, I will have to go shopping! Thanks for another great shopcast!
Fantastic shopcast as always. Love the cruden vest and the Agnes light is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing the lessons you learn as you knit. It is very supportive and helpful. Can’t wait for the next shopcast!
Great Shopcast. So many things to love. Corinne I really love your sweater. It's beautiful. Maggie congrats on your vest finish. It's just lovely. The blankets and bags are gorgeous. I wish I lived closer to your store. I'd love to come and squish and sniff.
Awesome podcast as always! Corinne - I am officially obsessed with your Agnes sweater. Could you share the Rauma colors you used? Thanks for all the fun.
Hello Colleen and Maggie! I was simply giddy watching your podcast today! I wish I could take at least one of everything! The yarn wall behind you is so colorful and inspiring! Happy knitting! 🧶
Go Team Slow Knit, chee hoo! Yes, I NEED to bring at least one WIP along when and wherever I travel. An absolute must or I will go stir crazy during the lots of waiting that happens with planes, trains, and automobiles. Thanks for another great shopcast. Love seeing everyone's beautiful and inspiring WIPs and FOs.
Hi ladies! How fun! I think this is the first time I’ve managed to watch the shopcast on the day it released! Congrats on your finished vest Maggie, it’s a work of art and pure love! Corinne, your sweater is really coming along and I am looking forward to seeing it on you. Kelsey’s segment is always my favorite. She is down to earth and just so nice! I really like her saddle shoulder tee. When I travel I take a small project with me. Socks are my go to as I only need one ball of yarn and tiny needles. Enjoy Millapolusa and the Vermont sheep and wool festival. Maybe I can plan an adventure for next year! Now I am off to busy Harris Tweed project bag🩷
SO fun - Knitty Natty visiting!!! Her travel vlog is great. Your segments and inspiration are amazing as always!!! Congrats on finishing your vest Maggie. Have a good time at Millapalooza - love watching Amanda and Peg with all things Junction Fiber Mill.❤
I’m plotting how to end up with one of the Harris Tweed bags in my stocking this year… Worked on 2 sweaters while watching this morning: Saoirse (“sear-sha”) by Carol Feller, starting with some Black Isle yarn from last year’s Taster box, and now casting on my Peerie Shop Cardi😁😁
Beautiful colorwork! Yup, button: holes, band pick-up, sewing on the buttons… don’t like either! I set my timer for 10-15 minutes to work on those “rather not do” tasks. Working on misc giftie things, THEN a sweater. Said that all summer, but with cooler temps and this woolly episode, my fingers are itching to cast on a cardigan! Thanks for a woolly good time!
I would know Corrine’s sweater was her’s even at a distance. All her favorite colors! Can’t wait to see it at Rheinbeck. When I travel I usually have two projects with me. A current “serious” project for when I am relaxing in the evenings or on long plane rides, plus, a smaller more portable project (socks, hats etc) for bus rides and picking up when I am in lines or waiting for things. I pretty much always have some knitting near to hand wherever I may be!😊
Wonderful shopcast, thanks! Kelsey has me thinking about all the projects I took along on trips and the memories I've attached to the finished items of each place. When she said that she knit the hat in Copenhagen, I could immediately see that. It gives me fun Tivoli Garden vibes, for sure. I wish I could join the sweater CAL, but have too many other WIPs and planned new projects in the queue ahead of a sweater. Maybe next year! Also, Corinne ... when you held up your sweater to show us the progress, it looked like the colors in your cowl might complement the sweater. It might not be so in person and the camera/screen is picking up something that's not there, but they seemed like they could coordinate well if worn together? Please let us know. If nothing else, it'd be a lesson for us in your audience in how what you see on your screen isn't always how it looks IRL and to carefully check those things out before ordering yarn for coordinating projects.
Thanks TWT! What a wonderful way to welcome the Fall - woolly wools, beautiful bags & throws & projects to delight & inspire! I really look forward to each ShopCast. You are a woolly hug!
You’re a great way to start a rainy Friday! It’s always exciting to watch projects and new products revealed. Oh, Emma, you’re right on my holiday colors of aqua, teal, white, and evergreen with your new Winter sweater in planning stages.
In response to Kelsey's question about travel knitting: I usually knit socks. I make a point to cast on before leaving, so I can open the project bag & just go. If I have a self striping yarn, I bring a solid with me for heels & toes. If I finish the first pair, I cast on with the solid color & stripe in my leftover self-striping yarn. So happy you got to go to Copenhagen!
Beautiful knitwear on display today! I adore my Studio Donegal blanket--it is so soft and cozy. What a treat to knit on my KAL sweater and watch a new shopcast. Cheers to all my fellow knitters (and crocheters) enjoying woolly wool.
Love your new opening, so nice!! I'm currently working on my 'Furusokker socks in Vandre'.. Love the yarn and the pattern so far. Hope I don't get stuck on the pattern, being very new to socks. :). Can't say enough good things about this video. Love the yoga segment, too. ;)
Maggie, the vest is so lovely, as is Emma's sweater. How nice it was to see the podcast. I sat and watched, knitting a sock with my broken arm almost healed and waiting on the remnants of Helene to pass us by. You all have taught me so much about knitting. Even if I never win anything, your podcasts is so wonderful and helpful to watch!
The new fall intro is great. Maggie, your vest is beautiful! Loved Kelsey talking about travel knitting. I take something to knit with me all the time. If I finish it while away, it’s a great memory. Enjoy all of the sheep and wool festivals!
Re travel and knitting, I like to bring along supplies to knit a bunch of small, rather popcorny projects, and then give them to people I meet along the way as bread-and-butter gifts--the BnB hosts, the instructors or presenters if I'm at a class or workshop, people I meet and connect with. It keeps my hands busy, and as I go along I make room in my luggage for yarn or other things I find along the way and want to bring home with me.
Thanks for another enjoyable episode. Maggie’s vest turned out beautifully. I knit that a few years ago but knit it flat instead of steeking. For travel knitting I like to take a top down sweater. I’ll knit the color work or lace at home then just knit the stockinette body & sleeves while traveling.
I love both of your projects - so beautiful! And those colors in your Agnes sweater Corinne - whoa! Just gorgeous! Would you mind sharing your color choices?
Such a great shopcast! You are all so inspirational with your lovely knits that you actually finish. I wanted to say that socks are my travel knitting, they are fun to work on and don't take up much room. And yes I think of where I was when I knit them. My latest pair are my Africa socks that are WYS fairy lights 😂
Absolutely love Corinne’s sweater! I have one blanket and am thinking a second one would be an excellent idea. Thanks for the shopcast - makes my Friday!
Can’t wait to get my Harris Tweed bag! Corrine, your sweater for Rhinebeck is gorgeous and prompted me to go purchase the E-book of sweaters. I want to make them all!
Happy fall and sweater knitting everyone! Wish I knew how to drive for I'd be visiting VT and NH by now, I miss them so much this time of year. It's no wonder my favorite colors are red and orange ❤
Love the new intro. I look forward to every episode because I learn so much and get great inspiration. Your segments with your lovely, talented thistlers are soooo good. Wish I could go to Vermont Wool festival. Happy fall.
I can’t wait to see your segment on the Knitty Natty! I was watching her podcast and thought “she needs to get to the Wooly Thistle”!!! Your sweaters are beautiful and the segments were great. Also, I received my Harris tote yesterday in the mail and as soon as I finish watching I am opening it…I have delayed gratification being so excited!
I love the travel thoughts Kelsey brought to us and her honesty about her hat mistake - also loved Emma’s yarn suggestions- so look forward to your podcasts ❤️them!!
Your vest is gorgeous Maggie! Corinne I am loving your sweater! My Cruden vest is sitting in its bag waiting for me to start it, first to finish up my sweater then onto the vest!
Another inspirational episode! I am keen to knit a steeked project using the needle felting method to reinforce the cut. I have set that as a goal for 2025. 🙂
Love the vest and cowl! Is it possible to find out the exact colors used for Corinne’s cowl? Thanks!,,
The Harris Tweed products look incredible!! That's what I'd spend my $25 gift card on!!
Oh pretty finished vest, Maggie. Thank you for a nice visit, segments and contributors!
I’m so distracted by the beautiful yarn behind you. I’m dreaming of color combos 😊!
What a fine cast as usual. To address Kelseys ? Trip knitting is always welcome. All kitting is. And a continual learning experience giving opportunity to connect with and share with so many wonderful people.

I’ve been binge watching All Creatures Great and Small and collecting screen shots of fair isle vests. LOVE your vest!!! I’m tempted!!
Great job on the new intro! I love that it highlights your new brick and mortar storefront. Also, I just received the totes that were recently restocked. I couldn’t control myself and bought 2. They are beautiful and well-worth the money. ❤

Regarding how long it takes to knit ... the longer it takes, the cheaper your hobby is per hour 😅

I’m planning ahead for my visit to Vermont next summer from Toronto. Looking forward to checking out your store.
Love that Destination Unknown cowl you have on and the Cruden vest is stunning! Thanks for the podcast, I'm enjoying the discussion and the segments!

Oh, I'm so excited for October 4th. I’m totally fangirling ☺️. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Another fabulous shopcast ladies! That Vest is amazing Maggie! Sooo happy the episode was long with excellent content, as always! ❤ Susannah
Maggie, the vest is so lovely, as is Emma's sweater. How nice it was to see the podcast. I sat and watched, knitting a sock with my broken arm almost healed and waiting on the remnants of Helene to pass us by. You all have taught me so much about knitting. Thank you for another inspiring cast. While watching I am knitting a vest for one of my granddaughters.
Your colorwork projects are so beautiful! 😍 I am working away on my sweater for the KAL - I hope I finish! 🤞🏼
What a wonderful shopcast. I'm so excited for fall knitting. Can't wait to get my hands on one of those blankets. So beautiful
Love all your sweaters vest and cowl you all have done beautiful knitting work.
I’m contemplating knitting my first steeked sweater. From your website it looks like Corrines Victory cardigan may be the ticket.
What a fun podcast! What beautiful new yarn. You have so much going, wished I was closer. Have a great week.
