I have a 5m and 2 6m teton bell tents . You can add foam puzzle flooring or moving blankets .we add 2 lg fancy patio rugs to protect the floor. If the floor is pulled taught you shouldn't hear the gloor squeaking

Silicone caps go on the outside. it stops rain water seaping through the eyelets.

Nice tent but not enough light (windows).
I’ll stick with my plan for a Springbar.

Great review, as always. The floor is definitely an issue, not only from the stand point of durability but that dang crunching sound while walking on it is very irritating. If a tent has that floor it is an automatic deal breaker for me, and the other of course is the lack of a stove jack. I wonder if there is a reason for this....ie, lack of strength of the wall due to the full mesh lower? Seems to be a nice product though. I again watched your Springbar type tent comparison and have decided it would be worth the wait to save for the Skyliner even though the Kodiak is better than half the price. I really like the more verticle aspect of the walls as much as I like the option of the stove jack. They just seem so much more spacious.

Good observations, especially about the crinkle sounds from the floor. Laying my canvas tarp down inside helped with that. Whiteduck has stove jacks in some of their other Regatta bell tents, so I don't think it's a design limitation. My guess is they didn't put one in there because this is meant to be primarily a summertime tent with that 360 mesh feature. But sort of a missed opportunity, in my opinion, since a stove jack could give it the best of both extreme seasons.

Interesting point. Haven't had it in rain yet, but we'll see. I did add a stove jack to it, though!

I have a 13 Avalon bell tent and it’s a pain to set up due to all the guy out lines and staking the tent down. I’m looking at the Springbar skyliner and was wondering which is faster to set up for one person. Great content!

The Skyliner is definitely faster to set up. Neither is particularly difficult but you're right about the time it takes to stake out all the guy lines. And the Springbar style has fewer of them.

I manages the high line 6 no issues. You gotta have some upper arm and back strength.

$1000 won't hardly get you a room for a week these days. This tent will last for years! 😉
