The older diavel looked a bit strange to me, not really my thing. But this one really catch more of my attention. Nice to see ducati go over to a bit more user friendly bikes over the past years.
I test drove one the other day. I don't have the money for a brand new one, but you can pick up 16-17's for $10-12k and well worth it. Very powerful cruiser that was so nimble.
Finally...been waiting the review from motorcycle usa ....as always, Adam present it short but very informative review....Pls also make a vid review on 2016 MV Agusta Brutale 800...That awesome bike is in my wishlist too
I have had the opportunity to ride this bike a few times now and all I can say is wow. Its comfortable and very responsive and powerful bike. If you have the chance to ride one and you will know what I'm talking about. I rode one from Eurotek in OKC they are a BMW,Ducati and Triumph dealer. To me its the perfect cruiser/sport bike out there and if I can I will own one.
LOL, DTC fighting to keep the front wheel on the ground during take-off. Ohhh... I was curious how the belt would come off without removing the swingarm and it looks like those metal plates at the swingarm pivot would unbolt from the top and bottom. The mid controls probably include an entire replacement set of plates. Otherwise, I don't see how you'd mount controls there.
+Motorcycle USA Just for reference, how much is Adam Waheed's height & inseam??? I'm a big lad @ 6'2, maybe 6'3 with a 33" Inseam so I'm just a tad curious about the comfort and knee angle... Great review of a great bike...! The torque curve is indeed crazy!
Man I like yours reviews a lot. I bought a Ducati multistrada 1200 s 2015 I have ride well but multistrada is a little high for me I'm 5,7". Should have waited to buy this Diavel 2016.
+khairullhafiz I absolutely did not. It was almost eerie in how perfect and seamless the belt drive functioned. You can even rev up the engine at a stop and dump the clutch and no worries at all. Kudos to Ducati and its engineering & testing departments.
Awesome bike another sure fire hit from the folk at Ducati.. I own a Diavel Carbon Red and that bike is sweet.. Always gets lots of attention out on the streets.. I also own a 2014 Panigale 1199S and the comments always favor the Diavel Thumbs up all the way.. Its the Bike of choice when I take my other half out too.. Ducati's are not cheap but worth every dime.. Start saving fella's
+patrick shimmel never had a problem with my 09 Monster 1100 or my 2011 Evo 848.... I've owned many bikes in my life, mostly Japanese up till now, and yes the Japanese bikes had some 'issues' ducatis since around 08 are as good or better than anything else on the market.
So my first bike will be a Yamaha R3 then after 2 years (the time before you can get anything above 400c in Oz) I'll buy this to keep for a long time :D
You can get a 650 on your Ls in australia it would just be limited power output, there's no torque restrictions though so you can still benefit from a bigger engine.
+Benjamin Samuel Cool, nice choice.I'm known too many guys who bought small bikes and ended up selling them after a few montha because they got bored. (Every ninja 250/300 owner ever :P)
It's like a Monster and a Diavel had a baby. Near perfect. Only problem is it starts at $20,000! I would go test drive this thing and possibly trade my M796 but I'd triple my payment and probably insurance. I'll ride the crap out of my monster and maybe one day down the road get something like this. used possibly. I don't know if I could really part with my M796. I love it!
+Michael Hopkins They did, but still no manufacturer offers more superior engineering and build quality than Yamaha. They have even surpassed Honda if you can believe that. Adam
Cool review! Had a chance to try the bike myself, the acceleration is definitely a lot faster than any traditional American cruiser. But the bike handles somehow strange, at very low speed the turning radius is huge, because of the long wheelbase(over 1.6m) and 30 degree rake. At speed, it turns very light and quickly, but in the turn, it feels strange because the 240mm rear tire, the contact patch is far away from the bike's center line. The launch control is more a launch assist, you release the clutch progressively, without practice, launch control can be slower than "manual" start. With that much power underneath you, it's scary to release the clutch at full throttle and over 9k rpm. The foot pegs are high off the ground, to give that 40 degree lean angle, but for me it's too high, and too far forward. It could be a better bike, or better cruiser, if, the wheel base is shorter, the rake is smaller, the rear tire is 200mm, and the rider triangle is more neutral, less cruiser-ish. Looks awesome though. Everyone I meet says, that's a sexy bike!
The engine needs to be smooth before 3krpm and needs a real plush soft suspension setting then itll have no drawbacks. Ducati's have this reputation for having harsh rides when will they adhere to that
There's some kind of really creepy noise in the background of this video. I paused it to make sure there wasn't something really wrong happening outside.
I thought the original Diavel was pretty awesome. Then they tweeked the style a tad, and I thought it was a tad more awesome. The new XDiavel, though, seems like it can pump enough extra testosterone into your system that riding it will make you grow a third testicle. Sweet ride. I wish I could afford one.
I love the look of this bike but I am a little concerned about Ducati's 33% failure rate. Even Harleys and Triumphs have better reliability. The reliability ratings are based on failure rates for 4-year-old bikes: Yamaha/Star (11 percent failure rate) Suzuki and Honda (12 percent) Kawasaki (15 percent) Victory (17 percent) Harley-Davidson (26 percent) Triumph (29 percent) Ducati (33 percent) BMW (40 percent)
I like so much that moto *but* I miss a bigger engine, like 1600 or even 1800 with the same disposition and ergonomy. The style is different from other brands in the market and, in my opinion is because _Ducati_ have no tradition in this kind of motorcycles.
this is a home made bike right a joke , put on bike right ,...not real right .... you got me i thought it was for real for a bit ...april fools on me ... a real factory duck ya right ..ok thanks for the joke guys
+anguy11 Adam sort of explains that in the video. He's - generally - a fast bike guy but with recent knee surgery isn't really able to enjoy traditionally fast bikes. So, this is a bike for someone who wants the performance/muscle of a sport bike but not the ergonomics of one.
The XDiavel is slowly growing on me. The more I see it, the more it changes my feelings about it. :)
I own this bike and I still love watching old reviews of this beauty!
For how much u bought it ?
did your rear break go out on you yet?...lol....
The older diavel looked a bit strange to me, not really my thing. But this one really catch more of my attention. Nice to see ducati go over to a bit more user friendly bikes over the past years.
That is the sickest cruiser I've ever seen and if I ever get a cruiser it would be this bike.
Shit, I'm seeing all the motovloggers lately lol
I have it. "dont call her a cruiser!!!"
CycleCruza it's nor a cruiser !!!
CycleCruza just watched you top 5 vid, I see you were here doing research
And yet you got rid of it simply because you were scared of a rear tire cost and damaging the tank.
easily one of the best looking bikes.
Great presentation as always Adam!
+Hugo Ortiz Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
excellent review, welcome back Adam
+Fahad M Thanks man.
We need a petition to bring back Motorcycle USA!!!
I miss getting new content by Adam :(
Lol - thanks Jesse.
I test drove one the other day. I don't have the money for a brand new one, but you can pick up 16-17's for $10-12k and well worth it. Very powerful cruiser that was so nimble.
Adam is the best bike reviewer out there IMO
Thanks for the props - tell your friends, haha.
Haha. On it!
Adam, where can I watch new content from you???
What's up Jesse? I work over here now: www.ridersdomain.com/magazine/
Check us out - let me know what you think?
Sure, with a brand new bike I would say - what an amazing bike.
I like the your review you always speak straight biker to biker. No PR BS. . Been a fan for years I like this format you have now
best reviewer ever ,i like this dude alot
Thanks man - check us out over here now: www.ridersdomain.com/magazine/

LOVE the forward controls.
In-depth review, admirable!
LOL, DTC fighting to keep the front wheel on the ground during take-off.

what's the mileage ??
The coolest bike I have ever seen in my life.
+Prince Xamim I am 72-inches tall. 32-inch inseam.
I saw the review he did on the FZ 07. He praised it so much i bought one. And its a great motorcycle.
+Jojo Gun Fang Haha - glad I could help. How many miles do you have on that thing now?
Only 50 miles, Its still snow on the ground here.
+Jojo Gun Fang Haha - I remember what those days are like!
How do you like it? Torn between the new FZ 09 and the Aprilia Shiver 750. This Ducati makes the decision even harder lol
Buy the FZ.
Can't wait to ride this!
Nice review Adam! Sounds like the abrupt throttle response from the 2015 Multistrada has been fixed, I really want to ride this.
+rckev224 Yeah - they got the EFI dialed in nicely now.
good review as usual 👍👍
Great review. I was considering the Harley Nightrod Special, but now, there's a great stylish alternative.
1:28 is the XDiavel S. And I get about by levitation, I don't even know a thing about bikes!
Which American bike fits the xdiavel category? Competitors? Engine- price wise
it would be sooo awesome if they did a twist & go version!!!
How tall is the gentleman riding the bike? Thanks.
San Diego!!! ayeeeee
Man I like yours reviews a lot. I bought a Ducati multistrada 1200 s 2015 I have ride well but multistrada is a little high for me I'm 5,7". Should have waited to buy this Diavel 2016.
+Fabio Santos Yeah - it is a taller bike for sure. You should get the low-seat option for that thing.
Damn, I want to buy every bike Adam reviews!
I want to buy every bike I ride... most of the time!
Welcome back Adam!
I have a question, do you feel any difference with the belt final drive as opposed to chain?
+khairullhafiz I absolutely did not. It was almost eerie in how perfect and seamless the belt drive functioned. You can even rev up the engine at a stop and dump the clutch and no worries at all. Kudos to Ducati and its engineering & testing departments.
Bravo Adam Waheed . Thanks for the info. I'm really digging this new Xdiavel. :)
Awesome bike another sure fire hit from the folk at Ducati.. I own a Diavel Carbon Red and that bike is sweet.. Always gets lots of attention out on the streets.. Adam, can you compare the xdiavel to the 2015 diavel? Thx!
What's up - it's been a while since I've ridden either to be honest. Best bet is to watch both videos back to back - that should do the trick. Sorry!
Adam I like your style mate!
+Satyajit Tripathy Thanks man - I'm just living life.
Great review! My only question about Ducs is maintenance cost. Is this a bike for a rich or can a regular guy live with this thing?
+BMRTV They don't need too much maintenance these days. It wouldn't stop me from purchasing one, even w/o an extended warranty.
I love 2012 ducati diavel
What do you think about the passenger seat?
I didn't get a chance to ride two-up...
What jacket are you wearing?
+JodogXMC I am wearing a jacket by Zara.
This would easily wear a Lamborghini badge!
And they say the Electric system might survive for more the 2 days!
price ??
Please compare this to the Indian Scout! It might not be a totally fair comparison, but they are both pretty, sportier cruisers.
As a scout owner (I love it) this looks so bad ass only problem is its Italian and probably gonna break
+Steamin Steven thats good to hear when i was shopping for a new bike i was really considering a ducati maybe next time :)
+patrick shimmel haha - Ducati's build quality definitely rivals Indian - you should take a second look.
looks awesome!
This vs Rocket 3 video?
I am 6' 6" would I be able to fit?
dude it's a bike nt a shirt
+Lallrishna .K.V HAHAHAHA
good question. im 6'5. any tall riders test this beast out yet?
I got a chance to sit on one in the dealership, I wasn't comfortable at all, not even with the pegs all the way forward, I was simply too tall. :(
^
would love to see a head to head with HD or Polaris
+A TG Yeah that would be cool.
How do you doA You Rocp. recess statuesque % !!
+Google RuinedRUclips yep, my month old self was stupid, the max engine size is 660cc and I have done research and the best bike would be the MT-07
+Benjamin Samuel Cool, nice choice.I'm known too many guys who bought small bikes and ended up selling them after a few montha because they got bored. (Every ninja 250/300 owner ever :P)
+Google RuinedRUclips yea, the mt07 is great for an around bike anyway so it'll fit nicely for a few years atleast
God if they made a cheap but still good looking bike just like that id buy it
2015 ducati doable is cool too
What an awesome bike...
It's like a Monster and a Diavel had a baby. Near perfect. Only problem is it starts at $20,000! xdiavel is the best and my dream bike...ilove it😘😘😘
Nice. I look forward to seeing how the new Victory Octane pairs up against this.
+Chris Cope Yes, I agree. My money is on the Bologna crew, but hopefully we can see a true return of American muscle.
+Chris Cope Slower, heavier, and half the price. Totally different market segment.
MotoErgoSum yes and no.
Adam Waheed
How so?
+MotoErgoSum In this case it is different because the Octane is 1/2 the price of the Diavel.
I think I like this bike !!
Esta mota é simplesmente.... UAU. 😱
What a beauty
I don't think the newer ducs have reliability issues
+Michael Hopkins Yeah, they are pretty solid these days. Nothing is perfect though... unless it is a Yamaha :p
+Michael Hopkins Yeah, they are pretty solid these days. Nothing is perfect though... unless it is a Yamaha :p
Adam Waheed Ya but the Yamaha had that big recall
+Michael Hopkins They did, but still no manufacturer offers more superior engineering and build quality than Yamaha. They have even surpassed Honda if you can believe that. Adam
nice video
Thanks man.
performance
style
agility
Since they don't have the budget to give a full review, why read. Just go to youtube channel BikeWorld and get a full review on this beast.
what happned to ur knee?
+Delhi Roadwarriors I had a meniscus allograft transplant surgery back in December, in an effort to have a better quality of life as I age.
+Adam Waheed get well soon brother! Peace & respect (Y)
+Delhi Roadwarriors Thanks man - getting a little better each day.
really like this bike and the video is good n 2 the point
might have 2 downsize the car 2 get another bike in the shed
If I was looking at something with forward controls this would probably be it.
+Justin Reynolds Definitely. Having limited leg movement - this bike can still give me thrills.

that yellow spring looks odd

Nearly $25K here in Canada.... still. may have to trade the Monster in on one...getting old. knees hurt ;(
+Steamin Steven Yup, this is the solution. Haul ass with no knee pain.
I think it's time the Italian make something more appealing to the Japanese and amarican market price $20k that's a lot
This bike looks like a sport bike, but rides like a cruiser.
20k ????
Those words still aren't synonymous. They mean totally different things.
I heard that this bike has alot of electrical problems and etc
I thought the original Diavel was pretty awesome. Then they tweeked the style a tad, and I thought it was a tad more awesome. Thumbs Up if like the previous version than this......
讲中文 爱卡迪 洗洗睡
Nice :)
The first ride is allways nice, you have to make 10k miles, before judging
Sweet scarf, brah. Did your boyfriend knit it for you?
Haha - awe shucks. I'll tell him you say 'hi'.
I like so much that moto *but* I miss a bigger engine, like 1600 or even 1800 with the same disposition and ergonomy.

diavel
jesus 40 grand ?
He said 20 grand but that's still high.
+SquishySpaceTime yeah, my mistake bro.
but anyway it will be more than 20 grand in my country.
this is a home made bike right a joke , put on bike right ,...not real right .... you got me i thought it was for real for a bit ...april fools on me ... a real factory duck ya right ..ok thanks for the joke guys
Doesn't look like a cruiser. Nice bike though.
What? No A/C....
if it didn't sound Like a fart in the bath, I'd p/x my v rod for one.
what type of demographic is ducati trying to get with this bike
+anguy11 Me! :)
+anguy11 Ones that don't think thru their purchases, ones that shop while drunk, etc.
+noname1022 Targeting Harley's market share?
+anguy11 The ones that love riding motorcycles.
+anguy11 Adam sort of explains that in the video. He's - generally - a fast bike guy but with recent knee surgery isn't really able to enjoy traditionally fast bikes. So, this is a bike for someone who wants the performance/muscle of a sport bike but not the ergonomics of one.
bet it still breaks... haha
Lmfao!!! You did a review on a motorcycle and didn't even know the hp numbers.... plus if you're the type of person who owns a diavel, I'm out.
This looks like an abomination
What is the mileage?
