Thank you very much for this video. I have played so many games like this and I won almost all of them. In clasical I have 3/3 with black. I just was not sure what to play against 8.Bf4, so thank you for this Nh5 idea. This concept by Black is impossible to break.
I would just add, that White has two more sidelines on move 8. And this is Bg5 and b4. On both you play e6, on Bg5 then h6, g5 a possibly Nh5 and capture the bishops. B4 for White is interesting, but blacks plán is similar to the main line, there is also Qb6 idea.

Thank you, Sir, that was awesome. SMG is a really popular and annoying opening below 2000 level online. Once again, thank you for all ur amazing work. I find your opening instructional approach much easier to follow due to how u discuss common setups and ideas^

You are WRONG! I NEVER played e5 until yesterday because I was losing with EVERYTHING but e5 against the fianchetto. I try to go for the f7 pawn, and haven't played Qe2 much since I started out long ago with the Qe2/RFd1/Rac1 standard variation which I gave up coming back to chess and getting beat badly. I've been doing my homework and see lots of attacks after e5 and will likely start playing it more. I'll eventually study THIS variation as white, but next on my fix it list is annoying early e6es. I do pretty well against almost everything else.
My stats against 5...a6 are the worst at 3 wins 6 losses, but it's a rare line. otherwise, my stats are 48:50 from move 5 which is good enough as sicilians always drove me nuts until I started smith morra. I love the activity and open lanes for rapid attacks. I've won 4 out of 5 of my last 5...a6 games including transpositions and only lost to a +126 opponent. then my stats are terrible against 6...e6. I still hate the french, so this WILL be part of my ...e6 homework, but I won my last 4 games after *1. e4 c5 2. d4 cxd4 3. c3 dxc3 4. Nxc3 Nc6 5. Nf3 a6 6. Bc4*
6...e6 7.a4 is NOT my friend I see, but I've lost 86% with 7.0-0 without ever playing 7.Bf4. I gotta figure THIS exact position out, and might take a sideline.
stats are 50:40 at 1600-2000 with 7.0-0 that is where I need to work on my theory. 7...Nge7 is the only move with 46:50 winning stats in 147k games while 7...Nf6 has the worst at the amateur level at 54:42 in 60k games. at least I'm playing accurately up to move 7. 8.Qe2 and 8.e5 both score well for white after 7.0-0 at 56:41 each.

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial was replying from white's perspective and sharing stats. I will be pushing e5 more from now on after re-learning some new theory, but never pushed it before. that was my 1st point. not EVERYONE pushes e5.

A bit too fast when you change from variation to variation. Feels as if you’re explaining it to yourself at times.
