Found this regarding the issue on the 10th green...
On the putting green, the Rule for an embedded ball is to mark and lift the ball, repair the ball mark and replace the ball in that spot. If the ball will not stay on that spot, then the player must find the spot nearest to the original spot, but not nearer the hole, where the ball will come to rest. and there is no limit as to how far this is from the original spot, nor which direction it must be. (Rule 14.2e).

      @recoilrob324 Год назад +7

Thanks for the explanation. On some greens this could be 10+feet laterally to get off of a steep slope. But hey....you have to do what you have to do.

Yes. The way James and Rick played it would be coorect if James had not yet marked the ball, but once the ball was marked, it cannot move and then it basically goes to a GUR rule. Nearest to the spot, but not closer to the whole. Nice find with the rule.

He can have a laugh with you, help your swing, help your confidence, and pick you up when you get down. Just an awesome human being! I love his quote, "One bad hole does not make you a bad player, remember that." It's very obvious he's had to calm down himself with that thought several times. Great to see Rick playing better as well. Some of the best shots I've ever seen him play in this video, and not easy shots, either!

I’ll be honest, I usually laugh at Rick when he messes up, but when he went out of bounds on 17, I felt for him. To be -1 after 16, a shot ahead of James, is just as impressive as the way he hit it. He looks like a new golfer with the way he swung the club. Respect.

We have a regular group of five friends who play more than 90% of our golf at night. We live in Japan and all have full time jobs and families. Once a week, after work, we make the one hour drive to our course for nine holes of night-golf. It’s a magical experience every week-very few people, move at our own pace, quiet and we see all the night “critters” out foraging for their evening meals. Our course isn’t lit quite as well as the one in the video-we HAVE to stay on the fairways-if we get into deep rough, we’re unlikely to find our balls. Reading breaks on greens is the toughest part, but we wouldn’t trade our rounds for anything!

I very rarely comment on any video but, on this one particularly, I had to.
I've watched your channel since literally your first video and that was genuinely one of the best rounds of golf I've ever watched you play. I thoroughly enjoyed the video and, I'll be honest, by the 5th hole I also forgot it was a "Break 75".
The lessons Robinson (who seems like a top bloke btw. Do what you can to keep him about) is giving you clearly seem to be paying dividends and the evidence was there in buckets. Great to see and genuinely made up for you.
What I like most is the mentality and atmos Robbo is bringing. You seemed so much more relaxed, full of confidence and the pair of you genuinely looked like you were out there having fun just playing golf with smiles on your faces.
Yes, the 17th and 18th gave you a reality check but only to serve as a reminder that the only person that can get in the way of you being the best is yourself.
One of the best videos I've seen in a long long while and properly inspiring to see how different the game can be by changing something as simple as perspective.
Keep it buddy and more of this please!

Lovely to see you playing better Rick, keep it up! I would argue that, for me, the nature of having to narrate and react to your own game before, during, and after every shot is such a huge reason as to why your game might not be where it wants to be. The mental side of it is just as crucial as the technical side, and in having to react and overthink and vocalise every single part of your game through a round (for content) I believe that it puts you in a mental state where emotion can take too strong of a hold over your technique. Keep your chin up, but more importantly, just play your shots! The content will still be amazing!

Golfing and filming can be hard because u cant fully concentrate but like you said not filming for 6 hole to get your head back is what you needed. But I can’t wait till next year as I’m definitely going to try and join you all on a few of your golf trips. Keep up to good work

What a great video , Rick you really help me to feel better about MY golf. We all have bad holes no matter how good you are. But you work hard and focus on improving and are humble. Love your approach

I have had this total experience many times. Courses in Asia are extremely nice like Turkey...but very expensive.

it's been a very long time since last enjoyed break 75 series. Rick's has been amazing, if he can produce more quality golf shot, showing more consistent decision making etc, like in this video, definitely make the series more enjoyable.

This was magical, seeing the ball fly through the air not needing tracers or anything. Really good course and on my golf bucketlist from now on👍

If you're looking for unique night golf experiences, head up to Shetland in late June, where you can tee off at midnight and still see the ball.

Best episode of break 75 for a long, long time. With Rick's golf so improved it is great to see two good golfers tackle a course. Save Guy's hacking and banter for off camera

Great episode. James is a great guest and the chill playing partner you want in your foursome when things go awry. Rick! You are playing some great golf and as a mid handicapper, many of us would love to have your game. Keep up the good work…and the content on your channels is awesome.

Belek is amazing place. So many golf courses and amazing conditions. We were in the middle of october in sueno hotel for a week and played 4 rounds on pines and dunes. Only drawback for high handicapper is fact that flights are scheduled just one after one. When we were just past middle of hole, another flight were scheduled to start. Apart of that, everything was amazing.

So many RUclipsrs claim they're scratch and just pay rubbish. Rick doesn't make many claims but genuinely plays really well. Easiest close to scratch and it's be bloody happy to be anywhere near his skill
