I agree that for the first time in forever reprise is better, but not for the songs themselves. As a song, I love them both, and I do feel that I can't lose you is a perfect culmination, showing how the writers have grown between the three major well known versions of this scene. I love life's too short and for the first time in forever reprise and I can't lose you, all for different reasons, but I think you can see how much more comfortable the writers have gotten over time with the scene and its characters That said, I prefer for the first time in forever reprise for one very simple reason: the ending. The climax of the scene is anna being hit in the heart. But unlike both life's too short and for the first time in forever reprise, the end of the I can't lose you doesn't end with that. That's a fatal flaw for me. This is the climax of the show, and the climax of the scene needs to be highlighted by the music. In all three songs, the tension builds throughout the song, ending with a final beat, but unlike the first two, I can't lose you goes back to dialogue and basically loses all the tension it had built up before the ice hit finally happens. As much as I love it as a song, I can't bring myself to say it's better for the show than for the first time in forever reprise because as gorgeous as it is, it fundamentally makes the scene weaker in its current form, and that makes me sad to see
I'm curious how they're gonna go about justifying hygge in countries where hygge is already a common word/concept, but I'm also so happy that the sisters will be able to perform in the language they'd be native speakers of in reality (and other languages from the same region)
