Wow, that was quite a storm. We're just getting over our own storm down here in Sussex. Excellent drone videography, by the way! That's going to be an expensive repair job on the harbour wall.
It certainly was a big storm, I was born and bred here, not really seen anything like it before. Once every 10 years maybe. Glad you like the footage. They are talking roughly a million to repair the whole wall, seems a lot to me!
@@scottmasterton - There might be more to fix than just the visible damage. And it's not just the wall. My understanding of how sea defenses have to be worked on, one of the first things they would have to do is build cofferdams around both sides of the breach and pump the water out -- and keep it pumped out. Then remove all the remnants, including the bits that are still in place but are damaged. It would be quite involved. It ought to be interesting to watch being done, of course, and you'll be able to get a bird's eye view with your drone!
I’m a Renton. Been living in Canada since 65. Too bad you didn’t include the rest of Berwick Law in your video, though I understand it’s about the sea wall. Thank you for posting. Spent lots of time with my dad waiting for fishing boats to come into Dunbar when I was wee.
Excellent video Scott. Love it!

glad you like it George, sorry I didn't get the Law in.... maybe this one will give you a 'law' fix ruclips.net/video/hYz3T1iSFq4/видео.html
I guess this is what to expect when the sea throws canon balls (large stones) at your (sea) defences. As lesson in early modern warfare.
nice footage, well done.
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like it's around the older and newer sections.
Brilliant footage.
A clear indication of the power of the sea.
Well done! Was there any damage to MV Sula?
I can't say for certain but I don't think so.
I saw the tourist boats in dry dock at Port Edgar South Queensferry other day. All looked ok.
Brilliant footage youve captured. Add me as a subscriber 👌👍👏
Needs rebuilt with fibreglass reinforced concrete/cement. Quality footage.
It looks like the Mohne Dam in 1943.
nah bro that's poor workmanship on the wall
