hi there nice video , just a little info , I was the one who came up with the phone wire stop back in the mid eighties , it was in SEA ANGLER , I have been using it ever since it has truthfully never let me down , it was made up using a fine safety pin at first to wind the wire onto and made in lengths of whatever you wanted then cut to suit the job it was needed for you can alter the tension on them by turning both ends at the same time etc , glad to see it still in use as I am now 75 and still fishing (not as agile as before lol). keep up the good work .

Hi Keith, I think it was probably Sea Angler where I first picked this tip up, possibly around the early nineties. The simplest ideas are always the best! Tight lines. Jansen

I like the telephone wire stop. As telephone wire is not readily available I thought that I might try using the soild wires from an old cat5 cable on lighter line.

Great video, I was surprised to see you didn’t use powergum as a stop. Is there a particular reason for this or just personal preference? Cheers c.

I have used it, but personally I find it a bit fiddly. It is another good option for adjustable snoods though and still popular.
