- Full NFC West preview: digging through the changes year-over-year across each of the teams (Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals), looking at their historical records in the regular season and the playoffs (going back to 2017, when Sean McVay took over as the Rams' head coach), predicting where each team will finish the 2024-2025 season and everything in between, ahead of training camp - which starts in 4 days, and the first NFL preseason game, which is less than 2 weeks away!
I just want another Super Bowl before Stafford retires hoping this is the year

McVay, I believe, is a guy who is human, like us all, makes mistakes, still has clock management issues/timeouts... but he is his own worst critic and acknowledges often enough that his moves, the team's personnel moves, reflect the fans critiques... aside from the obvious... Last year, The Avila pick was not telegraphed as Rams Year 2 Center... I went from disappointed on the pick to ok, that works... I had the right guard position for Rams with a guy Bills took Torrance. Rams went wiggly + free agency.

What happens with the 49ers is all about when they have to pay Brock. 💯 They have one more year of their current reality.
Kyle is a great coach. Sean is clearly better. 💯
I think the Niners coming up short for so many seasons now is starting to take its toll on them. They still have a very talented roster but I'd be quite impressed if they are once again able to reach the NFC Championship/SB. Judging from offseason interviews it doesn't feel like they are attacking this season with a similar mindset like in the past. The SB loss still hangs over them. My biggest hope for the 2024 season is beating them in a fair game week 3 with both teams fielding their entire lineups.

I think the NFC west isn’t as good as is once was but I think it’ll still be one of the better divisions in the league. San Fran will be tough, Seattle is a wildcard and it all depends on geno and their rookie HC, zona will be better than people think. I think our rams will be really competitive and possibly win the division if things break our way.

@@yo-ry1np Stafford has been “aging” for years. The defense lost Donald but added a ton via free agency and the draft. They’ll be fine.
Aging Stafford? He’s 36 Keep that narrative, Stafford is a Top 5 quarterback and AR is over 40 years old and he’s still playing and AD didn’t want to play anymore he told the Rams at the beginning of last year that this would be his last year and he didn’t play great last year 😂
For the NFC conference seeding I see
Lions 14-3 at the 1st seed
Rams 13-4 at the 2nd seed
Eagles 12-5 at the 3rd seed
Bucs or Falcons at 11-6 in the 4th seed but leaning more tampa
49ers 12-5 at the 5th seed
Greenbay 11-6 at the 6th seed
Bears or Cardinals 10-7 for the last spot
I agree that 8.5 does feel disrespectful, but I prefer lower expectations coming into the season. Don't want a young team to feel "crowned" before week 1. Great pod. Also an in person pod would be sick!

I think the Rams have a legitimate chance to win the division, they just need to go 3-2 in the first 5 games because after the bye week they have about 5 games they should win and I could see them go on a winning streak and they would be 8-2 so after that they should be able to win at least 4 of the remaining 7 games which would give them a 12-5 record 😎

Have you guys actually looked at what Purdy did last year.
Coming off an injury, rehabbing into November.
He was near top the league in most QB stats behind the 22nd ranked Oline and ended ranked number 1 or 2 against the blitz.
Also number 1 in deep passing and close to top of yards through the air.
People acting like he is just standing behind a wall throwing quick out and relying on the players around him's YAC have not bothered to look they are just following a false narrative.
If SF ever put a top 5 oline in front of him, he will put up 40 TDs.
He is going to be a problem in the NFC West a long after Matthew Stafford and Geno Smith retire.

I see Rams leading at 13-4 due to our passing an rushing offense being top 5 an passing defense top ten an rushing around top 15 like how it was last season at 12th an due to the schedule being weaker compared to last season.
49ers go 12-5 due to injuries an losing aiyuk.
Arizona comes in fighting with the bears for the 7th seed at 9-8 loss or 10-7 win the last spot due to their coach who I have more faith in compared to Seattle first season with theirs.
Seahawks I see 8-9 or 7-10 due to this being their head coachs 1st year an me not buying the hype about them until I see it
