I have a question here, what if the surface is really dipping slightly and we are doing NMO correction so that it becomes flat after correction, isn’t that incorrect then? I mean how do we know if the surface is dipping and flat before we do the correction?

Thanks for a great Lecture. But, I think there's an error at around ~15:00. When the velocity is more than the correct velocity then hyperbola curves down and not up. Similarly, for smaller velocity, the hyperbola should curve up and not down.
