Always wanted an XM-18 , but didn't realize they had plastic washers ... That's definitely a deal breaker . I thought at least they'd have phosphor bronze washers . Damn .

This was one of several things that stopped me from buying one for quite a while. I read into it, the washers are actually fairly durable and easily replaceable - they don't affect the action in any negative way.
I'm a huge fan of phosphor bronze washers and have stopped adding any ball-bearing knives to my collection. Yet the XM-18 I finally picked up is at least good enough that the washers don't hinder the performance of the knife in any noticeable way.
It's not and probably will never be glass smooth like a proper phosphor bronze set, but I feel good recommending it to you.

What size hex bit did you use to remove the scale screws?

      DougFLA123 the 3” scale screws are 1/16. And 5/64 for the 3.5”.

I ended up buying that Hinderer tool. I didn’t want to risk scratching the hardware. Its so expensive!

Lol I thought my headphones were broken. But you didn't narrate!

ShoeBakka1 yeah, no sound. It usually drives me crazy listening to people talk during stuff like this. I should have also done one with narration. ;)
