    Best video that explained being cinematic I've watched so far. Thanks for sharing. Can you also make one to share how to create a relatively high key cinematic photo? I've watched a lot videos, but all of them are about moody, low key cinematic lighting. I'm not sure what a high key cinematic photo should look like, but probably shouldn't be the same as the traditional high key photo.

    thank you for the awesome video. one thing i am curious is why does your original photo looked cinematic already? camera setting?

      Thanks Shu. I shot it just after the sun had set so the lighting is soft and low contrast. When you have direct harsh sunlight it’ll be harder to get this look. So look for softer lighting situations (cloudy, shade, pre dawn, post sunset etc)

      @@j.r.j.8499 Thanks for clarifying. You can fine tune colors if you'd like. But for the most part, I adjust colors using the White Balance & Tint w/ desaturation as shown in the video.

    👍 Do you use a Pro Mist filter when you shoot with the intention of editing with a cinematic vibe?

    Which colour profile did you use?

      Usually Classic Chrome, but I edit in Lr and sometimes it defaults to Adobe on import. Usually just tweak the colors til I’m happy so it doesn’t matter so much what base profile I use.

    I print my best work. I have not had much success with dark and moody in print. I feel that the cinematic look is fine for the web but not for print. Is it just me?

      I haven’t printed this style yet. I’d imagine it’ll take some trial and error to get a good result. Perhaps a future video idea 🤔

    u lose texture in black and shadows there's a point to do it better
