No shot I live in New Orleans. They won’t break glass they will just steal whole damn truck to get one item they want. Ever leave shit like that in your vehicle
Really happy I live in the middle of nowhere. Everything is unlocked and stuff stays wherever I put it. Only time things go missing is when I forget where I put it.
Tuffy lock box under the rear seat works great. You can also lock it. I don't like leaving any weapon in my car/truck. Also have a safe in the center console.
That happens to me all the time on the way to Walmart! I have to crawl through the passenger seat and grab my A/R to fend off the Shriners stopping traffic in the parking lot! Phew, glad I was prepared!
I think for the back of the seat setup, I'd modify a garment bag like you use when flying with a suit. So it just looks like you have your dry cleaning hanging back there. I'm guessing most thieves aren't looking for a suit jacket
Even the greater Houston area I wouldn’t use this. Sugarland, channelview, tomball, Katy, Alvin, Humble, Kemah. I can’t name a single place in the rural areas/ greater Houston area that I would feel safe having this set up.
One suggestion I would like to throw out for consideration is to run a 20 rd mag in the AR. That makes a slimmer profile and is easier to draw, or conceal. Most social situations tend to resolve themselves in less than 20 rds. You can put a mag pouch with 30 rd mags, should you need more. I use the HSGI taco carriers that holds a rifle mag and a pistol mag. Just a thought.
Idk what your state laws are but tinting your front windows would darken the back up some and if your state allows going to darker tint in the back would make it where nothing is visible. Throw a sun shade in the windshield while parked no one is seeing anything inside your truck. Just in case your truck is equipped with seat air bags be sure the straps that wrap around your front seats do not interfere with deployment. If the airbag deploys but is obstructed it could cause injury to the person seated in it as you are not stopping the explosive charge from going off. I have a kind of similar setup but I wrap really low on my seat to avoid any interference of the airbag in the seat.
i did not watch the whole video so im not sure if you touched on this or not... but you should definitely move your carrier to a much higher position in order to protect your vitals in the case of you having to evade the threat under fire by driving away......
Like this happens every day. I want to carry my rifles in such a way so everyone can see I have guns in my vehicle. Might as well get a neon sign saying, come and break in my vehicle and steal my guns. How absurd this is.
I used too roll with my bushmaster in my gun rack in the back window and my desert eagle by my side no body f with me and mine its all a lie no one is out too get you its a way for the government to make more money off of the taxes we pay lol😂😂😂
Great video. The first setup is great for the an outdoor range and a lot of people are hating. I think under the seat is the best and I’ve learned something new today.
Pretty cool, but just a note to anyone who has never been in a gun fight in and around vehicles, most consumer grade vehicles will not stop .22LR rounds. If someone has full magazine and is trying to shoot you you most likely will take a round or two and shrapnel from your interior coming apart. That being said, you need to be fit and train to be able to move through your vehicle quickly so you take minimal damage OR drive away as quickly and safely as possible. Overall, I like the setups and ideas presented. Thanks for sharing these products and ideas.
Looks good. Couple of questions. 1) What is that panel made out of? 2) is whatever that thing is made out of strong enough to withstand someone pulling it out if you use a steel cable to affix it to the bolts on the bottom of the seat. 3) has anyone tried replacing those rubber forearm mounts with the Galls handcuff type mounts? I know it wouldnt be impervious but at least buy some time with someone breaking in with the car alarm going off.
its a stupid set up for civilian, that a great way to get his shits stolen, unless he doesn't care the cost and those firearms land in the hands of criminals.
It’s absolutely not made to store firearms in that way. I have a rigid panel from Greyman and use it for traveling but I wouldn’t ever leave a firearm in a vehicle without a TruckVault or similar product that’s securely bolted and made of steel.
NO long guns in the vehicle in my state unless they're cased, unloaded, and magazines are separate. Even under permit. Loaded handguns in the vehicle are permissable under permit only. I loved your system though but I can only dream about it.
I Like the under the back seat concealment but really dislike the straps on top of the seat. I wonder if there's some sort of a snap system that could secure this? Great vid as always! God bless.
If you want to go balls deep into installation. You could take the seat cover off, find the metal bracing, put a few holes in, long bolts, bushings etc and attach it that way. I think anyone who sees straps assumes there’s something underneath the seats. But then again, criminals are dumb 🤷🏻♂️. My 2 cents that’s not worth anything.
I've been through the initial scenario more times than I can remember. Feels like as soon as I get just a little distracted by my phone, some ruffian will always engage me in a firefight. Yesterday it even happend twice, and I had to apologize to my boss for coming in late to work.
Illinois just took it from difficult to near impossible to have a semiautomatic fighting rifle in any way ready to go in a vehicle with you! It has to be in the trunk, unloaded, ammo separated from the gun, and now no more than 10 rounds and something like a lever action which I can't afford to buy!
Hello. Excellent an very informative video!! I was just wondering where you can get the bags you mentioned an do they have anything like that for the 2023 Escalade ?? Thank you an thank you for your timely response
Question. Since you have your weapons just like that , without being covered and such . What happens when you get pulled over by the police ? Do you tell them right away that you have rifles in the back ? Do you just wait until he notices ? Or ?? . I live in California, so I can't have this set up . I'm just watching for enjoyment . Haha
In MN having a long gun in a vehicle uncased is illegal. So I guess technically that's legal, cause they're called a pistol. Never cared for those but now I want one. I would want something like what they use in police cruisers. Lockable.
normally, i just throw them on the seat.. but after rolling my car two days ago and ending up in a pile of guns and burrito wrappers, I'm looking at other options. The only downside I see to this set up is I can't put my backseat down if i have stuff strapped to the front seat.
funny but in SERE training for the last couple decades it's been taught to profile trucks (and cars) with the obvious branding, stickes, decals, etc for procuring gear and weaponry in a time of need. whether it be 'surreptitious containment' of the driver or smash and grab while they're in costco for the average hour. most trucks that advertise like this have at least one gun, and gear. and this genius in his super duper recognizable billboard has an armory for the taking. think about it, are you advertising your gun/s to someone in the know, and in need?
Am I seeing a Mn plate blurred out? Not looking to violate your op-sec bud, just curious. I'm up in the Duluth area , wondering if you are local at all. New subscriber.
Do thoseracks lock to the seat? From the video, it looks like they are strapped into the setback with nylon straps. Is there an option for a more secure setup? So, when you walk into the grocery store to get that gallon of milk, someone walking by your rig doesn't see your setup through the window, break it and take your gear.
Nice options I like the under seat for everyday driving where your in and out of truck Like the back panels for long drives Also do you run lights on rifles for the night time shit show ?
this is a setup in a Humvee lol or in the apocalypse...maybe cool if this is setup is establish3d without the guns and when you need it, you can unpack then set it up as you bug out
I built a holder for my f150 that mounts behind the rear folding section. It stores a DD M4 with 3-30rd mags. I installed a quick release to fold down the seat. Always hidden
@danieljw321 In some states (like NC) a loaded long gun hidden behind the seat back/under the seat, is a concealed weapon... And the concealed weapons laws ONLY allow handguns concealed. It used to be common to keep a rifle or shotgun in the back of old pickup seats, behind the springs. Until the CHP law, then they started busting people for it. Check the state laws carefully especially if traveling.

Why do the gun mounts sit so far off the back of the seat? That's really killing the leg room if someone is sitting in the back! If i made it, it would sit as tight as possible!

DO it where I live and you will need to buy a new guns and window glass every day . Not to mention you will arm the bad guys.
