This episode was such a BLAST guys great work👌 So many great recommendations BUT Madeline Miller!!!! People, if you've not read The Song of Achilles please do yourself a favour and read it, it's so achingly beautiful. Also Donna!!!Tartt!!! She reminds me of Nicole Krauss, another author who does characters and emotions so well- The History of Love is amazing! Also thanks for inspiring me to pick up The Goldfinch, should've picked it up right after I read The Secret History tbh. I'll stop rambling now 😂
PS. The Penelopiad is part of the Canongate Myth series.

I actually enjoyed today's discussion cos it was on female fiction and in the process of joggling with one here... There was diversity which to me is a strong point and we were exposed to different varieties. I also love today's guest because I am a pedantic kind of person too and pay attention to details. Hopefully these podcast will push me in the right direction. And to top it all I loved the involvement of all and deep discussions. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

This podcast was awful. The pathetic Deepanjana Pal's phony, trite and antiquated comments about Bengalis was the worst part of the whole podcast. It was like a desperate attempt at humor. Any fool in India can get away with making fun of Bengalis. Bengalis would never attack anyone if somebody criticized them. So Deepanjana simply selected the most peaceful people to defecate upon. The fact that Deepanjana is trying to score points by criticizing her own peaceful community is enough to expose her as a fraud. It is worse than virtue signaling. It is just mediocrity. In fact, it is worse than mediocrity.
    Btw, I am a Malayali.
