- Hello and welcome to another OMSI 2 video!
Today we're going to be driving the brand new (though seriously old) Coachbus 303 addon which is going to be a challenge in itself! It's a manual gearbox so it'll take a while to manage to get to grips with that... and even then I'm still not convinced we've mastered it by the end of the video!
Anyway sit back and relax whilst we drive the Addon Coachbus 303! Well try to anyway.

The Mercedes Benz O303 was built between 1974 and 1992, I was shuttle at school in one of these in the start of the 2000s, that was an experience I can tell.

Joe, The first thing I did when I bought this addon bus was replace the WAV file for the horn! 😁 The novelty of that horn wore off quickly. Fun fact: on Steam discussion, the dev said lot's of people have complained about the horn and he's removing it on the next update. So get all your melodic horning in while you can! PS. You had automatic clutch on in OMSI on this vid. That's why you could change gear without coming off the gas. For your next challenge, drive it with auto clutch off - properly with the clutch! 😀😎

Tettau is a fantastic map! It was very entertaining to watch and you did very well with the manual! Much better then when i tried 😂
I love driving these old coach style things. I also remember getting the old paramounts and premieres on school trips to the local baths and such! I was also very lucky to have Leyland Tigers as my high school bus transport!
We need a map like Tettau, based on rural Wales! Maybe with a Leyland Leopard to accompany it! 😁

My first manual bus on OMSI 2 was the Citybus I280, 6 speed. Perfect for my G29.
I’ll tell you what blew my mind. I was climbing one of the hills in the free French add-on and as I climbed it was toiling, so I dropped gear to 5th and it just got to the top and stalled! The momentum crept over though and with my years of bump starting cars with flat batteries, I had this insane idea to do the same in this!! Put into 3rd and let the clutch up…….and that was it, I lost it completely. It **started** like a REAL vehicle would. NEVER in my wildest dreams could I imagine this level of realism in my 33 years of pc gaming.
That's a great bus. :o) There's actually now a free version of it, that has been improved beyond the Steam version, and that also comes with an automatic version too.
joe have you got the power toolkit for omsi 2 as you can edit the ticket packs ailist and more like timetable changing and more

It’s a right quirky little number isn’t it, thoroughly enjoyed the drive despite the fact I kept revving too much hahahaha
To answer your question yes some drivers could and did adapt smoother gear changes however this increased wear on the gearbox so people were advised not to do it
NB... You can only not take your foot off the accelerator for changing gear, when you have "automatic clutch" on in OMSI's settings, as you had here. If you have a clutch pedal (I have G29 set up with clutch and optional gear switcher) and turn off "automatic clutch" it behaves perfectly realistically - you must clutch to change gear, pull off smoothly and will stall if you come to a stop in gear, without first pressing the clutch.

Agree, and the Caetano is still manual. We have no UK manual buses :o(

My fellow RUclipsr did the slack route lesedi at 9:32 and a livestream Just Cause it is map wooden load up of his boss and haven't uploaded for a couple weeks to do this route and he said he will upload Z2 mobile on the two tomorrow but you're doing the maximum route at the starting point but different times he did at 9:32 why you doing that now early in the morning😂

Lovely video Joe, but the soundset is really subar. So many repeats, no blending, nothing. Especially for a paid addon
