As soon as I bought mine I couldn’t stop thinking about what they’d look like with a black swoosh, but honestly the red is fantastic!!!

They keep restocking so I picked up a pair. They’re ok. It’s nice to be able to just grab a shoe for retail weeks after it releases.

I think people may regret passing on these later on. They’re a clean, simple colorway and perfect for customizing.

I wore these for the second time today and I got complemented on them and struck up a conversation with the gentleman about sneakers and I love the color blocking.

I love these. They are beyond underrated imo. Lacing these up with the white laces and the shoe becomes a real beauty
A scrapped color blocking from the 80’s that they decided to release eventually… how there isn’t a craze for these blows my mind. Also just the home version of Bred’s but whatever. I got mine.
the white leather is stiff ass. if they were better quality like more soft or tumbled, maybe they're more sought after
@@nassiglutt6587 The leather bred’s weren’t tumbled when they released in 2016 so I’m a little confused on why these should have tumbled leather. Just because it’s “stiff” doesn’t make it ass! There are a lot of high quality leather that is stiff!

@@nassiglutt6587 stiffer leather doesn’t mean bad quality, the 1985 retro 1s are stiff but actually better quality than the “tumbled leather” also in the end it’s all usually bonded leather which is garbage quality in general

I saw these sitting and they were a “what the hell” purchase for me. I changed them into my red laces and now they’re one of my favorites in my collection. Maybe getting them at retail helps but these may be my favorite 1’s of 2022.

I just paid resale for 5 over retail, not mad. Love the shoe, I think it’s a cool spin, could’ve been an og colorway, like the og sample it’s based on (the colorway they used on the trav/frags)
This is an original color blocking. Unreleased color blocking, nike had these in their magazines back in the day

@@SuperflyLamar Seriously! I got these and in hand it doesnt do it justice. These are nice and clean, specially with black or white laces, very wearable. If these had travis behind them, they would had sold out and resale would had been higher

Glad people were sleeping on these. Made them pretty easy to get for a change. One of my favorite Jordan 1’s to drop in a while.
White laces and vintage midsole and they are so fire. Those two little touches makes a huge difference.
My pair is buttery leather on red parts, dope over all.

I got two pairs of these. One rock and one stock. Don’t care if they’re “bricks” I like what I like 🤷♂️ they going straight to toe. If these had a reversed swoosh people would be all over these. I just don’t get the hype train. My point is whoever wanted them for the toe… got them for the toe….
I was only able to get one pair. I wanted another pair to keep one fresh for the future.
It’s not only the hypebeasts passing the law up, it’s also the “OG’s Only” crowd that won’t mess with these because: 1. Not an OG colorway , 2. Jordan didn’t play in them, and 3. The shape isn’t 100% like the original

Im missing why everyone says they don't like the color blocking style. Its the same color blocking as the bred 1s just turned the black into white. I do think they should have white tumbled leather and a black swoosh though
White upper with a white midsole looks no where near as good as black with a white midsole tho 🤷♂️ too much white on these just my opinion
Just converted mines into breds, but one thing I’ll say is that the red colour is lighter. I just mixed angelus 60% fire red and 40% varsity red to achieve that colour, with three layers of it on the red panels.

@@NShomebase would definitely rather have the chicago 1s over any other Jordan 1 rn but they keep giving us the "almost" chicago 1. Like the trophy rooms from last year or the spiderman joints or those ones coming out later this year that are supposed to look old
Quality is nice. People say the white leather is stiff, but that is because it is thick and not tumbled. Also, the magical they used for the sockliner is A1 and they should use that for all 1s.

I did a vintage custom with a yellowed sole, black swoosh and aged the white parts to make it less bright. Came out amazing!

I can appreciate the anesthetics and the nostalgia but Even when they Originally released (yes i am that old) they were sooo uncomfortable to walk in or to even play in back then. However I do own the Air jordan 1 Alpha and love them because the tech in them which makes them wearable for me.
For those that feel some type of way that Buckets rated them a 4, keep in mind that he also gave the Off-White x Air Jordan 4 a rating of 5. Yeah.

So slept on that they have pairs going for well below retail which is crazy for a Jordan 1 but I'm not mad lol bout to scoop another pair so I'll have two pairs with another color lace so I don't have to swap it out everytime

At first I absolutely hated these. Everything about em. I don’t even like the TScott version of this. The more I saw them tho, the more it started growing on me. I bought a pair for each of my boys and when I saw them in person, it completely changed my mind. I love em. I saw JD Sports had my size sitting online and it was a no brainer to pull the trigger. The 3 laces can give the shoe a diff look so I’m glad it came w it

I don’t understand the hate on these. It’s the exact same color blocking as the Travis Scott 1s but in red minus a reverse swoosh. Is his backwards swoosh really worth that much more?
The black big swoosh on the travis’ adds contrast and balance out the black through out the shoe, and the heritage’s don’t have that. But i still like them, just not as much as the travis’, regardless of the hype.
The blue for this color blocking looks waaay better than the red. The black swoosh, sail bottom/midsole on the Travs as well as the leather used on the white portion of the shoe also makes a big difference. This shoe is just so WHITE. The Travs don’t seem near as WHITE.

these are that shoes that in my opinion destined to be a blank canvas for custom, like the perforated and white yin yang 1s, sitting at retail and possibly will go on sale, too much white and some red bits great for custom color

I can’t believe these didn’t immediately sell out(I’m not mad at all about it tho). The colorblocking is the same as the TS Frag 1 Highs so I figured all the hypebeast would be all over it but apparently not! Imma have to pick up another pair of these so I can rock one n keep one as a backup pair.

Yellow Thunder 4s, Infrared 4s, Pollen 1s, Bordeaux 1s, Heritage 1s, Taxi 12s, George Town Low Dunks, Navy 13s, Navy 6s, and a Travis Scott Fragment Hoodie. All my pairs I’ve gotten for retail from Nike App, Outlets, Footlocker , SNKRS , and Confirmed. I’m doing my best to not ever pay resell lmfao

White leather is a bit pap. I put white laces in mine for the look of a white sneaker and I like em. Might end up flipping them way down the line with light wear or DS depending. It happens.
Does it have that *BRED TOE* or *SHADOW* 1's leather? Not needed in collection but since has that bleach white leather I prefer that over the whole vintage distressed look.
The red leather is like the shadows. It’s really good. The white leather isn’t as good as black on the shadows but it’s still good
