A lot of people keep interpreting the lyrics literally and saying they're married now, but, this one theory I came across makes more sense to me: They're not married, they're just begrudging roommates. Neither of them exactly won or lost the duel and therefore the mansion, so they're stuck sharing it. Obviously they still hate each other, but this has gotten to be their new normal and they've gotten pretty used to each other, and they're starting to realize that, well, it's nice to not be alone anymore at least. From here they may become friends and possibly lovers eventually. And no, they're not dead. They're vampires. The coffins are just where they sleep. XD
Yeah, I was really weirded out that everyone immediately jumped to the conclusion that they’re married, because 1st- You don’t immediately marry someone you tried to kill last time, and secondly, there’s no wedding ring anywhere in the song.

They're referencing all the past episodes and after the showdown they agreed to share the castle and they're slowly falling for each other. They didn't die, it's just imagery and the next season will be on Duke's childhood and backstory

The little boy is duke (the male vampire) the creator said that in one of her behind the scenes video she said that season 2 and 3 are going to be about their backstories season 2 being duke and season 3 being Missi (the female vampire) Also they didn’t die vampires are immortal they can’t die they only die by stakes in the heart, sunlight, garlic, holy water, crosses (but yes duke did die but he was brought back by Missi)

Ahhhhhh violently toxic relationships, where codependency can be mistaken for affection. Seriously they separated twice already, once when she killed him and again after she resurrected him then beat him up and kicked him out of his own house. Until one of em is willing to take the other out for good they really are stuck with each other. Not cuz of love I think, she has most of his power and effectively took ownership of his house and he is a reminder of pain/weakness that she refuses to either let die or let go of... maybe they are married after all.
I support the idea that they just agreed to share the house since neither really “won” the showdown and they just weren’t willing to continue. They still fight often, because they have a lot of reasons to hate each other, but the two are gradually learning to just deal with it and learn to live with the current situation, because at least they’re *both* vampires, so they have plenty of time to work things out.
“Y’all should separate,” that’s the point of the song. At least that’s how I interpret it. It’s a critique of the idea that divorce shouldn’t be a thing. “But divorce is the end of a beautiful relationship,” no it’s the end of a terrible relationship. Why else would people want to separate?
