Exclusive: Rare Ghost Monkeys Filmed in Colombia | National Geographic

"For several years former National Geographic grantee Andrés Link has followed two rare, all-white spider monkeys that live in the fragmented tropical forests of the Magdalena River valley of Colombia. The remote habitat of these ""ghost monkeys"" makes this perhaps the first time they’ve been filmed. The all-white characteristic of the normally brown monkeys could be related to a genetic bottleneck caused by habitat fragmentation and the loss of forests, converted to land for agriculture.

In case anyone was wondering "Hey are those the dad monkeys carrying the babies?" The answer is nope, those are moms. Female spider monkeys have long hanging vaginas - they're actually more well hung than the males of their kind.

yes there are albino humans. But they all have had pink or red eyes. with the condition I had been introduced to. so I would think another species of monkey, maybe old world. they are all so pretty.

Old world monkeys do not have nostrils facing outward and they do not have prehensile tails… genetically these so called albino monkeys indicate that they’re carrying whichever allele or recessive trait to indicate inbreeding , so they know that much.. snd by all other appearances, they look like spider monkeys, so I don’t know why Anyone would suggest they’re old world monkeys/ macaques … the entire classification of old world versus new world stems on the two characteristics I mentioned.. no prehensile tail and nostrils in old world monkeys facing downward , not outward ..
