Southwest and Spirit know use this terminal. There's plans to renovate it AGAIN and expand it. I don't know why they didn't tear it down and make it as nice as Terminal 2 is.

Wow, just Southwest in terminal 1. I wonder if RDU could become a focus city for Southwest someday.
They were supposed to move Spirit, Frontier, and Allegiant to T1 in April but the pandemic screwed it up.

This terminal just doesn't get as much love as terminal 2. However, this was my favorite terminal because of how quiet it was!!
It’s my favorite terminal too I like it because it’s similar to back then when it was terminal A
