Available Now: mercury-studios.lnk.to/Jethro...
Jethro Tull's famous concept album "Thick As A Brick" was originally released in 1972 and featured one continuous track spread across two sides of an LP telling the story of a young boy called Gerald Bostock.
40 years later in 2012, Jethro Tull's founder and leader Ian Anderson created "Thick As A Brick 2: Whatever Happened To Gerald Bostock?". Following this release Ian Anderson took both albums on the road to perform the complete story of Gerald Bostock and this concert from the tour was filmed in Iceland. The show combines music, video screens and mime to bring Gerald's tale to life as never before and create the definitive presentation of "Thick As A Brick".

As a lifelong fan. ( I've been fortunate enough to see Tull several times ) I say thank you Mr Anderson is always appreciated .
Your talent
The new young guy is a promising one...Great music that never extincts !
Still crazy after all these years...
Great performance. Great music.
This young guy is really good....a little like Ian back in the OLD DAYS!!!
I wish they would release video and/or audio of them playing TAAB live in 1972. They must have something in the vaults.
Eres un músico genial... Y con agallas. Tú voz era unica! 💓
nient'altro da dire se non: grande Ian Anderson e grandi Jethro Tull!
He is a genius good recollections
grazie, Eagle...sempre il meglio della musica....
JETHRO TULL.........................GENIOS POETAS. MUSICOS FASSSCINANTES !!!!
Wonderful !
This was great, and I should know. I was there
I love this Song Is a trip
El primer disco que compré, en 1978, con 15 años...
Great always.
Muy bien un joven en las voces. Aporta!!
amazing
Un Monument Musical incontournable :-)
one of the best british bands , partly prog rock , partly folk , partly heavy rock
Ok, so here's the deal. The real Tull fans will recall the "rubbing elbows " tour, around 2003. Ian would
invite chosen people from the audiance, to sit down with him on a sofa on stage and ask him questions. Cool. Can you imagine being able to do that? I would probably freeze and be stupid. But it acurd to me, I would pay the same ticket price , just to hear him talk. Converse about whatever. We all understand his genius. So, to have a stand in singer is even more genius. Let's have more of it . Please please please.
*sana vekkia musika !!!*
.......cudowna muzyka...moi idole!!!!.......wonderful music ... My Idol!!!!
Fine singing from the young mand....
Гениально !!!
Именно так:-)
very very nice for ever
I wish I had seen Tull in New York in 1978
The Tull concerts today are a poor imitation
I love you

!!!!
I ian anderson is becoming better in old age

Просто Велик!
Pretty good for a cover band.
Fala aí pedrão,
Who is the singer? I mean the young man, He should do all the vocals.
Ryan O'Donnell
Thanks!
yeah..he's awesome
There is no shame in losing your voice after decades of relentless touring but Ian should have called it a day about 10 years ago. He looks like Neil Peart with the hiccups for Gods sake. And I can't imagine he needs the money. Tull is easily one of my 5 favorite bands but it is hard to fathom a perfectionist such as Ian not cringing at what I've watched of recent performances.
Or maybe he just enjoys performing and wants to continue doing something that brings him (and all the fans who come to see him) joy???
I seen tull crest of a knave tour.and also and in the nineties.the coak tour was fantastic.the second he had no voice period.he kept holding out his mic for crowd to sing.
I thought he was with a cold but he wrecked his voice around under wraps tour. Now im 52 and tull is a toss up between #1 0r 2 in my book. That being said he just cant sing anymore he needs to just call it a day.i love ian anderson and his music. He has copd now too. If he comes around i wont go see him. Tull will always be my favorite band but i prefer to remember them up until catfish rising after that not so much.
New lineup great
In places, this does seem a bit like one of those 'shreds' videos..
Ryan O'Donnel is a great singer , and performer !!!
Musically perfect. Ian may have lost partially his voice, which is understandable after the serious Health issues he has suffered, but he is still this great flutist, guitarist and performer. Of course I am nostalgic of the great Tull I saw live twice in 76-78 and of the great Martin Barre and others. Pity to see today Ian and Martin touring separately and performing the same songs.
This is not Jethro Tull. This is the Ian Anderson band (Tull ended in 2011).
Completely agree with you , Jethro Tull ended in 2011 when Ian Anderson decided to disband Jethro Tull, Martin Barre said , that was the best mistake of Ian Anderson in his life . This band never sound as Jethro Tull. The input to the band from M Barre , D Perry , A Giddings and J Noyce or D Pegg are irreplaceable.
vtnc
See there, a son is born
And we pronounce him fit to fight
There are blackheads on his shoulders
And there he pees himself in the night
We'll make a man of him
Put him to trade
Teach him to play monopoly
And how to sing in the rain
The poet and the painter
Casting shadows on the water
As the sun plays on the infantry
Returning from the sea
The doer and the thinker, no allowance for the other
As the failing light illuminates the mercenary's creed
The home fire burning, the kettle almost boiling
But the master of the house is far away
The horses stamping
Their warm breath clouding
In the sharp and frosty morning of the day
And the poet lifts his pen
While the soldier sheaths his sword
And the youngest of the family
Is moving with authority
Building castles by the sea
He dares the tardy tide
To wash them all aside
I wonder what Ian’s pact with the big guy was ?
THIS IS NOT JETHRO TULL... IAN ANDERSON TOURING ADVENTURES.
who's that young guy?
WHO IS THE YOUNG SINGER WHO IS PART OF THIS MUSIC ??
Ryan o'donnell?
Who is the little boy?
Ryan o'donnell ?
This is good band, but IMHO opinion ... Jethro Tull equals Ian Anderson and Martin Barre. All else is an emulation.
Peter Jackson on the keys
Prog Rock’s Sgt Pepper
Not gonna lie, I'd rather Ian just have the young guy sing everything. He captures the original essence.
Take me away Pied Piper...
This isn't Jethro Tull, this is Ian Anderson's soolo project. Thick as A Brick 2 was him getting rid off the band and raising up the ticket prices from rock band to equivalent of seeing London Symphony Orchestra.
every thing is not quite rite bring back Martin and done perry
Jethro Tull is the wackiest act I've ever seen by a musical group.
Is that Popeye?
Freak show now
Distrizio pensacante e majio e mollio cantenegro.
My opinion on Ian’s performance: thick as a brick
All good but he should hire a good singer
jeez how sad.....he dances around like Elvis during his last days.....kung fu fighting.....then he has got someone singing for him..... hard to watch......we all get older...but most try to do it with grace.....this is really hard to watch......this performance has nothing to do with the real Jethro Tull
Having seen Tull MANY times when they were in their prime I find this band quite mediocre, not coming close to doing justice to the original passion with which the original members performed live. The keyboardist uses a very blase imitation hammond sound not even using a real leslie speaker, his drawbar voicings are lackluster and arbitrary, and not doing justice to the energy which the piece calls for. Handing off vocals to another band member also lends itself to inauthenticity. Come on Ian, is it THAT hard to get players who can do proper justice to the material?
Saw Tull about 3 weeks ago. Im more worried about Ians voice than I am about the band.
I think it is a real Leslie - things get smaller with advancing technology, you know. Ian still sings himself, and on a good night better than some years ago. The additional singer allows him to strain his vocal chords less and to play more flute, since doing both simultaneously is something he can pull off, but not with lyrics.
The voice I can understand but such sloppy electric guitar and keyboards playing. So many wrong notes, complete lack of finesse. This is really upsetting. Don't you have no shame to ruin such an amazing piece of art?
@@jacquibrown4392 He fired the guys who know how to play this material. Hire them back, that simple.
Sad. Anderson should have returned years ago. His voice is gone.
They cut out the on stage colon cancer BS. I would have dropped them a turd for their troubles
Woe such a weak rendition
