One of the worst things about an airbus is what happened on Air France 447: One pilot had a mental meltdown and was stalling the airplane but the more experienced pilot (the senior first officer) couldn’t figure out what was wrong because it never crossed his mind that the junior first officer would do something so foolish for such an extremely long amount of time. Even when the senior first officer took over, the junior first officer continue to make the foolish joystick inputs that were canceling out the senior first officers correct inputs. With a Boeing you can tell what movements the other pilot is making with the yoke.
But I agree with you that a lot of pilots probably like Boeing because it’s so old and that’s what they used to. Well not necessarily “old”, but a legacy. And it’s also probably about national pride for a lot of Americans. of course that might change after the whole 737 max debacle.
You two are fun. Captain Alexander, you have been out-ranked by Captain Maris. LOL As men, we're quite used to that. Haha
