Venturing just an hour and 15 minutes outside Cape Town, I stumbled upon a hidden gem nestled amidst the serene countryside: an extraordinary retreat crafted from repurposed shipping containers. This eco-friendly accommodation seamlessly marries sustainability with luxury, offering a truly unique experience.
Stepping inside, I was immediately captivated by the innovative design of the bedroom-a king-size XL bed enveloped by floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a roof, providing uninterrupted views of the starlit sky. It was a breathtaking sight, offering a connection to nature unlike any other. The stylish bathtub and inviting indoor fireplace further enhanced the atmosphere of relaxation, creating a sanctuary within the container walls.
As I ventured outdoors, I discovered a haven of leisure and tranquility awaiting me. A wood-fired hot tub offered the perfect spot to unwind while soaking in the natural surroundings. Nearby, a pizza oven and BBQ beckoned, promising delightful culinary experiences amidst the backdrop of the countryside.

I agree 😉 it‘s indeed beautiful but it also can get pretty hot inside during the day. But there is shade and a hot tub (without heating it up, of course 😉) to cool down, and in the evening and during the night it cools down pretty quickly. There are doors on both side of the bedroom and if there is some wind as well, then the heat is gone quickly.
So it wasn‘t a big deal when I visited and it was a really hot day.
But of course, it‘s not perfect but I guess that‘s just not possible with such a bedroom 🤷🏽‍♂️
