Yeah for those who don't know, this quest basically gave confirmation that Sampo was contacting Sparkle back on Jarilo-IV, for an arrangement where she got fun, and he got his mask back. Which confirms that he is a member of the Masked Fools as well. In hindsight, nice foreshadowing Hoyoverse.
Edit Note: I've received some comments and apparently I was wrong about this quest. Apparently she was foreshadow via a memory bubble back in 1.4, I didn't check out that bubble so there's no way I could've known. Also thanks to those in the replies verifying what this quest actually does in terms of story.
actually the detail about him was revealed back in Atherium Wars where there is a memory bubble revealing Giovanni talk to Sampo and they reveal that he is going to meet with Sparkles and even reveal that Sampo cant stand Sparkles.
Just in case anyone wonder, atherium wars can still be played for new player you just need to advance in the story far enough to unlock it and the memory bubble can be found in the zone with the big stage on the upper level near the elevator.

@@theriolu1693able Ah so the thing about that is... I haven't peaked into Memory Bubbles much, so I didn't know. Thank you and the other guy who pointed that out, otherwise I wouldn't have known.
Actually, what this story quest does isn't confirming anything about Sampo or being a Masked Fool because we already knew he was a member of the Tavern that only the Fools could visit. Rather, this was a confirmation that the encounters with Acheron at the very start of Penacony's entrance were all snippets of events to come. When you encounter Black Swan and Sparkle in the lobby next to Robin and Sunday, Sam and Silver Wolf, and Dr. Ratio and Aventurine, you hear lines directly in the script, word for word about things that come up later in the story. One such turn of events was the final development in this quest, where Black Swan says "Why not?" in response to Sparkle's threat and proposal. This was a future event coming to pass, and Acheron's guidance through the lobby was like a foresight of what was to come, or rather, what she already knew was going to happen. We also learn that Black Swan MAY be altering the memories of people similar to the samsara cycle theory in Genshin Impact, where everyone has already potentially done most of the events she has scried while residing in the mirrored pathways in the Dreamscape. This was confirmed in the latter half of Penacony 2.0 when Acheron mentions how she saw a memokeeper watching over her in the mirror, but it is odd how Black Swan can't retain the memories of Acheron (the reason being spoilers which we can extrapolate from but we don't know, assumed from her VO), which is why Black Swan considers her the NEW dance's centerpiece, because she is hiding everything from everyone, and rather than evoking the memories from Acheron, she literally can't (this is also why she mentions to not look into the memories of Acheron's past in her VO lore page)
It seems that every place we visited have a Masked Fools on them, we haven't seen one on the Space Station but I am sure some NPC scientists are masked fools themselves

I loved the part of the quest where Black Swan got so salty that she was wrong that she used her memory powers on them. Never expected her to be the sore loser type lol

That wink at the end sent me, shes letting TB know that she wants them to be her dream dance partner as the one she has her sights on, no wonder she was trying to gain TB and express crews trust throughout the main story. She played this whole Sparkle game just so she can send TB this dream bubble in the future

Sparkle/Hanabi is basically a joker that instead of being chaotic evil, is chaotic neutral.
Pretty much what I thought as well.
Sparkle's official description labels her as unscrupulous, she has no moral compass. I think she knows what defines good and evil by common standards but she has zero inclination towards one or the other. She can decide to poke anyone or help anyone, as long as it fulfills her acting compulsion and her definition of fun.
I also think she felt alone and isolated very early in her career. And judging by her companion quest, she feels more alone today than ever. Even the Masked Fools don't hang around with her.

In the first scene of the quest Mina was unusually scarcely down bad
it is somehow funny to think that sparkle smashed a random dude head just to make a game hahaha

Sunday confirmed at the end of the main story chapter that those killed by Something Unto Death die a spiritual death so I don't think those killed by it wake up like anyone else killed in Penacony
In this mission Black Swan said that in penacony dreamscape it is thanks to famely and harmony blessing that even she can't break hte barier. So we can asume that it is not normal to be safe when you die in dreamworld and due to harmony it is safe and "death" some how can break this barier.

Are they setting up death flags for Sampo in the upcoming Belobog stuff? Taking center stage sounds a lot like becoming a boss character to me
What even crazier and more fun about Sparkle is in the JP dub, she always refers to herself in third person. Everytime she talks she uses her name (Hanabi) instead of first person pronouns. It makes her character seem even more childrish and menacing imo.
Sparkle and Sampo were so funny in this quest, I love them so much
I hope Sampo shows us his true self, I'm still waiting for that moment
