If you use the ninjabike, you can put a picaro holster with headshot damage. I think that you lose a little damage, but you gain more handling from other set and a better shield!
Currently testing with Zwia Mask and Eagles Grasp, Providence Bagpack with Conc, Chainkiller and Breaking Point Holster and Kneepads with Armor and im fine with it but still inferior to Hotshot. Also tried with Ninjabike but its Dmg is a bit lower compared to the Providence Version. I think its a nice off-meta Build if you wanna play around a bit.

I've been working on several riffle builds over the past 3 days, using the new gear and using determined and headhunter. So-far, yours is the only one that is any good. It's still squishy and you need to replace the shield with the fixer drone to be viable (the shield can only take 3 or 4 bullets so it's basically useless). If tweaked perfectly (and with some expertise on the 1886) you can even add one 13% PFE mod and add 1 or 2 Hazpro slots for more survivability. Ps: you should always test on Elites in the shooting-range. Not on veterans. ;-) Happy hunting!
You missed the point. He tested on the veteran because, as he said, you always start off a fight by dropping the weaker enemy to jump start the talents. Elites become irrelevant after headhunter and determined kick in since they all go down with 1 shot unless they have a helmet or are named. Also the shield is extremely helpful to pop out of cover and keep vigilance active to quickly headtap someone to start the process. This is not a shield meant to protect you for more than a few seconds. I swapped the decoy for healing drone and it works like a charm.
An issue I see is that you'll lose your vigilance buff when you get hit and there's no bonus armor that would negate that. Because if you got hit while having bonus armor it would not disable vigilance. And of course there's no better backpack talent that gives you an instant damage buff without having to do anything.
I hope u reply to this comment, but i think the new gearset is bugged… i commented on multiple videos about this but it doesnt give u as much damage as it says as it does. For example if u run the m4 rifle with 50 round mags with the backpack it should give u 300% more damage. But when u test it it doesnt give anywhere near that amount. I even hit for more damage when i run a full high end build with glass cannon and vigilance, can u please make a vid about this?
I have been told It only gives around 150 percent like in the PTS, not 300. Apparently they have not changed it correctly since the PTS, max was 3 now it’s 6. I will take a look tho and do some more testing to see if this is in fact the issue.
@@dw4897 yes i tested it in both firing range and open world, same thing a normal high end build deals more damage. The gearset rn is completely useless but if they end up fixing it it could possibly out perform strikers with some rifles

Running model 300 and the Virginian with 4 hotshot and Habsburg chest with headhunter and Habsburg holster and there’s no way these gear sets outshine my build.
Try SR1, higher mag size and slightly faster RPM, plus is a mag reload so reloads faster. Damage difference is very negligent but much better QOL Also Chainkiller chest + The Gift or an Airaldi BP with Vigilance will make it even better
NBB would work better with an MMR instead of the 1886/rifle (you don't really need the vigilance). M1a classic will do something similar, (for heroic open world farming), if you open with the tac50 or a nemmy to max your headhunter stack for the M1a juiced up with all the additional rifle bonuses the new sets have added.

@@josiasblanco80 just the possibility of a different playstyle i guess. faster and more mobile on the less tanky elites and ability to play with a shield. you can also mix it up with a dodge city holster with a d50 for the tankiest enemies. just do target prioritization as you would with a sniper rifle against enemies with helmets, isolate the field and then mop up on those you can't one shot.
The only difference I see is the shield. I can kill just as fast and i’m getting armor from bloodsucker and the hotshot, plus no reload 90% of the time and when I do it takes under 2 sec. Hitting for 23M with SR1 and 700carbon and my shit rolled m700 tactical that I currently have. 43-45 if I switch to nemesis . Have a build with airaldi bp with vigilance, habs mask with a habs chest with cahinkiller and 3 pc hotshot. My model 700 hits for 32 on that build but get no armor back so you feel a bit squishy. Trying to get a good habs bp with vigilance but R&g not on my side. Even after grinding countdown for a couple days and then trying to craft with the crafting bench bug we had for a few days. No luck.

Yeah the shield and the faster target acquisition and just to spice things up and change stuff up to see how far we can push a rifle build i guess. They made it the worst gun so we see what we can do with the worst.

I really like 1886, However, in the end, it is a lower-level companion to the Hotshot build.
I couldn't find any reason to use a rifle anywhere.
I really like the m1a and its variants. The rate of fire is great, and they hit hard. But it's just a preference.
Its more flexible non scoped. Specially with diamondback agonizing bite
The only reason would be that you can use the shield since it isn't an MMR build

i think eagle's grasp can be dropped in to get the weapon handling buff and move the breaking point pieces around.

need to make sure you have 150% HSD if you are going to use headhunter, it's very super important and kinda difficult on an 1886.

looks like a good build to level all the new gear at once if you carry a shotgun as a backup.
